Got back on Wednesday from a 11-day Costa Rica trip. Flew into and out of SJO. Stayed in San Jose (1 night), Tortuguero (2 nights), La Fortuna (4 nights), and Manuel Antonio (3 nights) Best trip ever! I used Pacific Tradewinds travel agency. They plan trips to Costa Rica only. It was perfect from start to finish. They were always available via phone or email if I had questions or needed to change anything. Their answers were immediate on the phone and no more than 10 minutes via email. Didn’t matter who I got on the phone or who answered my email. If you haven’t been, it can be overwhelming because there are so many regions. I highly suggest going to Costa Rica, and I highly suggest Pacific Tradewinds to customize your perfect trip.

Just spoke with Enriques, an associate at this company who was terrific. He provided super helpful information and insights about our trip, even though we had not booked it through his company. Very professional, friendly, above & beyond service!

We had booked a FAMILY vacation and when doing so it was STATED we would have 2 rooms, I did not quite understand why.(We never use 2 rooms) I went with their recommendation since this is the first time traveling to Costa Rica. I figured the travel agent must know best! (rooms must be different there)
When we got to our first destination and saw our room, I was surprised about the recommendation of 2 rooms, this was a family vacation NO reason to be separated! The room was huge and easily fit our family of 4. We immediately went to management and asked that we cancel this room and get credit to our account. This is where Pacific Trade Winds did us WRONG! I explained the language barrier and the agents recommendation of 2 rooms, they did not seem to care.
This happened at Arsenal Paraiso and Flamingo Resort! This vacation was costly and I am disappointed in BOTH resorts and their willingness to accommodate a customers request.
I think their agents need to ask "How many rooms will you need?"response / report this review -

I cannot say enough positive things about this company. My fiancé and I were planning on booking everything on our own for our Costa Rica trip, but then we found Pacific Trade Winds online. At first I was skeptical; I kept thinking, okay, but where are the hidden fees? What's the catch? We decided to book our vacation with them and it was an absolute dream. They took care of everything from airport travel, to hotel accommodations, to activitiesevery driver showed up on time, every activity was exactly how it was described, all of the hotels were lovely and exactly what we were looking for. I cannot recommend them enough. It took all the stress out of traveling. Would give 100 stars if I could!

I had the most incredible experience in Costa Rica. Every activity you recommended was fun and educational. The guides where funny and knowledgeable and your hotel recommendation were top notch. Thank you Pacific Tradewinds, I will definitely be using you in the future.

They did a great job, putting our tour together. We had a good idea on the places we wanted to visit. They recommended an itinerary with hotels and tours. They also gave us options in hotels and tours. They booked the intercity shared transports for us - which was very good. Excellent hotel picks, tours and transport. A team of travel professionals were on call to help us. They answered every email and very always ready to talk to us when we contacted them.
The travel documents were very organized with emergency contacts.
One of the things we liked about them was their sincerity and genuineness.
We wanted to visit the volcano Paos on the day we were catching the flight back home from San Jose. They advised us against it as the road to Paos could have traffic jams and we could end up missing our flight. It was very good advice and I thank them for it.
If we plan to visit Costa Rica again, we will definitely, without a doubt use this wonderful company.response / report this review -

My husband I took a 2 week tour of Costa Rica with Pacific Trade Winds and it was definitely one of the most memorable vacations we have ever taken. We got to ride into the rainforest 5 hours to stay at Turtle Beach Resort in Torteguero, we stayed at the Arenal Resort opposite the volcano, swam in the warm volcanic waters, traveled to Monteverde with the rooms in our b&b built into the trees, fantastic view. Loved every part of Costa Rica, felt safe, traveled everywhere, Would go back in a minute.

I always plan our trips but Costa Rica seemed like a different animal. I was so happy I stumbled upon PTW. I was hesitant but the reviews are 100% true. They are amazing to work with. We did so many things and it was one of our cheaper vacations because they really work with your budget.

I had a wonderful experience using them a few years ago! I never got to write a review, but I highly recommend anyone wanting to plan a stress-free trip to use this company. They can cater to your wants/needs and prices are all up-front without any hidden fees! No shady business. Great company!

Pacific Trade Winds did an amazing job at working with us to create a package we could afford and still do everything we wanted to. We had an amazing honeymoon where transportation was not only included, but had great chauffeurs! Great hotels and customer service. Highly recommend them.
