  We enjoyed the tour of the facilities and then booked the monkey experience tour for the following day. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. This is not a zoo but a rehabilitation and rescue site for injured animals. The monkey experience tour was fantastic. It was definitely one of the highlights of our time in Puntarenas

  Better than we had anticipated. Our guide Gonzalo was so knowledgeable and extremely patient with our 8 yr old, 5yr old twin boys and all of our questions! There is a story as to why each animal is there and what the plan is or isn't to get them back to their natural habitat. We spent 1.5hrs with our guide. Our boys absolutely loved being able to ask questions and engage with all the animals.

  This is not an animal rehab or sanctuary. This is an exploitation of animals for money. Multiple monkeys and parrots locked up in tiny cages. It should be shut down asap

  We loved our tour at Neo Fauna and learning about all the incredible work they have been doing there to not only help injured animals but to also help increase the populations of endangered and at risk frogs! I would highly recommend this tour and can't wait to go back.

  Excelente. Trabaje como voluntaria en el refugio. Las personas que trabajan lo hacen por pura pasión de los animales y el medioambiente. Falta mas difusión para poder ayudar.

  This place is a small zoo where they breed endangered animals to release into the wild. They have frogs, snakes, turtles, parrots, macaws, and butterflies. The guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and the breeding programs. He will show you every animal individually and answer every question with great enthusiasm and patience. The only reason that I didn't give this more stars is that the admission of US$25 per person (for a 75-minute tour) seems high compared to comparable tours in Costa Rica.

  Très bel endroit avec plusieurs animaux. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir un guide francophone. L'endroit semblable plus ou moins accueillant à première vue, mais le tous est assez bien. Prévoir de l'argent liquide (33 000 colones) puisqu'il n'y a pas de système pour les cartes.

  All animals in cages, butterfly cage is nice but most experience is "sad", snakes are very aggressive but in cages, could be scary for younger kids..
