Great location and they know it, that's why the owners are absence, and American. So the drinks are over priced and jigger poured if you drink a mixed drink, that sucks. And from what I understand the beer prices are the same. The food is just okay, its overpriced for what you get. Go in town for less money, and a lot fresher and better food.

This dive bar is a great beach side experience. The food and drinks are great along with excellent service. The fish tacos are humongous and good!!

Great beach bar.. avoid the food at all cost! Very expensive for zero quality. Huevos rancheros.. the sauce was watered down ketchup with chillies in it.. literally i asked the cook.. ketchup. 8 bucks for a plate with 2 pancakes and a banana.. with a plastic cup of syrup from a Denny's nope. Cool dive bar though, will go back for drinks and music

Beautiful location. They have live music some afternoons. The food is decent. I would recommend a "comida casera", a local favorite. Bartenders are attentive and friendly.

It's just an ok beach. The water is not so clean due to dark sand of volcano. The place is clean but lots of rocks in the sand and by the tides. If you have nothing better to do then this beach is good to go to. Nothing special here. Few restaurants and dark sand with rocks and tight parking spots.

Typical Tico food on the beach. A great classic spot. Reminds me of old Jaco. Food is decent. Staff are great.

Great atmosphere, friendly service and awesome food. We ate there 3 times and the waitress remembered us from the 1st night. Can't beat the view especially if you sit outside while the sun goes down! Pura Vida!

Nice beach bar. Cold beer. Good food. Prices not bad for a tourist town. If you are planning to visit Jaco, i recommend ordering the chuleta casados (pork chop, rice and beans, platanos, fried egg, and a small salad) it a "typical" Costa Rican meal and is delicious.

Food and drinks are good. Not super cheap, but on the lower end of what you'd expect to spend in a tourist town. The rooms are basic but clean; bring your own hair dryer, toiletries and beach towel. All 4 of our group's rooms had 2 beds (full and twin) with private bath. The bar closes early and doesn't have bands or karaoke (website indicates they do, but not currently in Feb 2017). Bar on the next block plays loud music late on weekends, so bring earplugs if you don't plan to be there or up until 130-2am. Also bring them bc it's easy to hear your neighbors through the walls. Very laid back place to stay with friendly and helpful staff. Off the beaten path but still close to town. Met a lot of locals and regulars that come back every year; and also a lot of pups at the beach bar. Right on the beach with nice water and breakers, but its gravelly so bring appropriate footwear. Great value for the price and great location for exploring Jaco.

    Good food, wide selection.

Got the seafood rice dish and was surprised to get a bunch of meat in its shell still. Still tasted good, but required you to eat it with trepidation.

    Would go again.

Food was really good but it lacked a bit in customer service. Other than that, the place has a great view of the ocean and has hammocks!! Its a awesome place to get that local vibe.
