  We rented the Bahia Azul condo in Jaco while celebrating our honeymoon during NYE. What was supposed to be a romantic stay by the beach turned out to be a nightmare filled with disappointment and stress. The unit is old, dirty and run down. The pictures we saw on VRBO are completely different than what we experienced. We paid premium to rent this unit.
  The kitchen, living room, bathrooms and appliances are very old, beat up and need deep cleaning or replacement. The kitchen floors were dirty, and we could see black dirt on the floor tiles. There was no internet access and the safe in the bedroom was locked and unusable The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on and every morning we woke up with sore backs. The hallway staircase had a broken light bulb and it was dark between the second and third floor at night. There was no basic cleaning supplies and sanitary products such as dishwasher and dish soap, dish sponge, and clothing detergent. There was only 1 toilet paper, hand soap and paper towel for our entire 4 night stay. We had to purchase cleaning and additional sanitary products and they failed to mention this to us before we booked the condo. We found rust inside the washer and a musky and stale smell inside the entire unit. When we arrived Saturday night we immediately felt uncomfortable and my wife and I had to spend over an hour cleaning and wiping down the kitchen counter tops, bathroom and tables in the master bedroom with Clorox wipes to feel a bit at ease. 
  There was water stain on the fridge and frozen-ice in the freezer from the lack of cleaning and maintenance. The bottom of the fridge is broken and partially on the floor. We saw water stain on the kitchen sink and found cooked in dirt on the stove top. The sink faucet was rusted so badly you couldn't move it from sink to the other. Furthermore, from Jan 1 – Jan 2 we had no hot water and had to heat up water to take showers. The last 2 nights of our stay we found sewer flies in our bedroom and bathroom. 
  
  We are now in an ongoing process to receive a full refund from our credit card and VRBO for their $138.00 fee.  
  Again, the entire place was old, beat up and dirty. It DOES NOT have a welcoming feel to it as advertised on VRBO. Finally the most VRBO review is left by the owner Christian Salazar. STAY AWAY EVEN IF THEY OFFER YOU A FREE NIGHT!

  For over 10 years I've depended on Costa Rica Holiday Rentals for my vacations. They represent the most luxurious properties and connect me with top rated activities. The drivers are puntual & courteous and the office staff excels in customer service. The new office in Jaco Walk is an exhibit of their growth and success. I highly recommend them if you plan on visiting Costa Rica!

  I recently stayed at Crocs with some of my friends. While sitting in the lobby I decided to go into town and rent a car. My attention was then directed to the Concierge area which displayed a sign for Adobe Car Rental, coupled with a brilliant smile from the Concierge Johanna Lopez who also greeted me with a warm welcome. Not only did Johanna take the time to summon a car for me but she also took the time to find me a few tours; all of which were memorable adventures. No matter what questions I asked, Johanna had the answers and her smile. Johanna is extremely polite and her personality is contagious. When I come back to Jaco I will use your company for all types of rentals with Johanna as my Travel Agent. Thank you Johanna for everything you did for me.
