Love this place! The lady at the front desk (forgot her name) but she's dope and took good care of all 4 of us. To be a hostel and in the middle of Jaco, it was perfect. Room comfortable, location perfect, open atmosphere. If I am ever in Jaco again I will stay here. It's safe, secure, and clean.

    Dope job BH

Great place to relax in the center of Jaco. Walking distance to everything in town. Beach is right down the street. It can get very loud some nights though. The staff and the food are excellent as well.

Very cool boutique feel, friendly competent staff, a block from the beach, near restaurants, grocery, and stores. Super hot water, good AC, and clean, neat rooms. Parking is available, but very tight.

Warm and welcoming staff, the rooms are cosy and very cool, great for escaping the Pacific heat. The pool is great and surrounded by scenic gardens. There is a peaceful vibe here!

The staff are very friendly, warm and welcoming and Marisela, who works the front desk during the day (and speaks fluent English) was my favorite person. She went over the top to accommodate, not just me, but all of the guests. The pool and grounds are flawlessly clean, the internet is high-speed and the coffee is exceptional. Right next door is a pizza restaurant with a wood-fired oven and some of the best pizza I have ever had. This hostel is located right in the center of town with a grocery store two blocks down, too many souvenir shops to count and restaurants all around. There are a million wonderful things about the Buddha Hostel but beware, there is one very grouchy cat. You may scratch his head exactly two timesany more than that and the consequences will be severe. I really hate to leave the Buddha Hostel, it's so relaxing here and a perfect place to spend a few days hanging out in beautiful Jaco. If I could stay for a few more days, the cat and I might even end up being friends.

My favorite place to stay in Costa Rica! El Tigre (the house cat) is aloof and bitey, but nice. The pool is sooo refreshing. Cheap dorm style beds if you do not need a/c, or a private bathroom. Secure parking. Communal fridge and kitchen.

Arrived at this unique boutique hostel around 8 pm, no reservation. At first look I couldn't believe it's a hostel ) It's right in the very center of Jaco, and at the same time it's secluded into a nice little oasis inside in zen Buddhist style. And it's not just a hostel, it's actually a hotel with modern large rooms with washroom, A/C, TV, fan, and very cute lightings. It has a very nice pool and kitchen with everything you need. Marisel (sorry if I typed name incorrectly) is exceptionally helpful, gave me all info I needed, advised about nice beaches to swim I had no idea about, advised on there I should continue my trip, clubs to go to and restaurants.

Clean rooms, great staff and close to the beach plus other amenities. The only problem is that it's next two discotheques which pump music 10am until 5am each day so don't expect to get much sleep!

Great location, reasonably priced, and within walking distance of the beach which was great but:
    - they lost our reservation
    - threw parties at night with their friends which were unbearably annoying
    - are located between two night clubs

Pretty nice hostel, but you'll definitely pay more than similar ones in the area.
