Great place, but be sure to know what you get. Jungle sounds, rooms with mosquito nets instead of windows. It is great. But not luxury.

It was an amazing getaway with my 10 year old. The Lodge was great: accommodations, staff and they fed us so well! We so enjoyed the excursions. It rained a lot but that was part of the experience. Was good to slow down and enjoy life. Highly recommend the Evergreen Lodge!

We had a wonderful stay! The tours were great everything was perfectly organised and the food was amazing! All in all everything was perfect except that the main pool was closed on our second day cause it was really dirty. But I think they are working on fixing it! And during our first night the bar was playing really loud music and we could not sleep. The second night when we wanted to get some drinks ourselves the bar was completely closed.

What an incredible place. This is a definite must see/go place when visiting Costa Rica. The accommodations are a little primitive, however, you are in the middle of a national park. The food was delicious and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are located in the rainforest. You have the opportunity to hear and see the wildlife your entire stay. I couldn’t have loved it more.

Remote, in the rain forest. Lodges had 2 beds, no glass in windows just a bug screen. Wonderful location only accessible by boat. Surrounded forest, you fall asleep and wake to the sound of monkeys, birds and other animals.

One of those places at which one arrives (only by boat) and causes an involuntary, but heartfelt "Wow" to escape the lips. Really IN the forest, it is time be up close to various forms of wildlife, some potentially cuddly (but DO NOT touch), others best viewed from the boardwalk. Simple food and good service from a friendly team of locals. Stunning location. A short boat ride away from the beach where turtles lay their precious eggs.

So, overpriced for what it claims to be but amazing at the same! Basic as you would expect, but friendly and helpful staff. Lionel as well is the best tour guide.

Its an experience to stay in a wooden hut without any glass windows, just a gauze for mosquitoes. So you hear everything from howler monkeys to rain. If youre a light sleeper then its not for you. Its also super wet and humid, cuz its not.closed off, everything including your clothes will get damp in the hotel room. Lots of animals to be seen in the hotel grounds. Good food though not sure why you cant scoop the food yourself since its a buffet.

Friendly staff. Well-maintained location inside the National Park. 2 outdoor swimming pools. Designated smoking area. Two dining facilities. Clean room. In-room safe available. No AC. Ceiling fans suffice. Insect screen window mesh installed. Free wifi accessible inside and outside room. Well-lit after dark. Decent buffet-style breakfast/lunch/dinner.

This place is un-comparable. It's in the middle of the rainforest - LITERALLY. Gorgeous views, animals galore (including monkeys, frogs, lizards, and birds of all shapes and sizes) and plenty to do nearby. The ONLY downside is how difficult it is to get to. It took us a few hours but I found it well worth the trip.

Beautiful place! You literally live in the jungle in small cabins with no windows. The staff was very nice and helpful, rooms were clean and beautiful. We loved the place, its unique charm and remoteness - the only way to access the hotel is by taking a boat ride which was a lot of fun. This is a quiet place so don't expect a lot of entertainment or nightlife there - they have two swimming pools, a bar and a restaurant which closes at 9:30- 10, so not much to do afterwards. It's very humid there so dont take clothes out of the bag unless you are going to wear them :))) I recommend this place to enyone visiting Tortuguero.

This is the place if you want to live not close to but actually in nature. It's like camping but with a roof and no windows. Instead of windows there are mosquito nets. Evergreen Lodge comes highly recommended.

Incredible place. You're treated to the sights and sounds of the rainforest right outside your door. While it doesn't include some of the amenities you'd find in large city resorts (air conditioning, etc), being surrounded by nature makes it all worth it.

I am not a that big nature fan, but this is indeed awesome. Of course the nature in this jungle is virgin, so beautifull. The lodges of the hotel are more than fine for that location. The food is more than correct, basic, but good much better then p.e. Egypt. Worth the trip. 👍

High humidity keep the clothes you don't need packed in plastic bags. All the rest gets wet :)

Clean rooms in the middle of the nature reserve. Friendly people and every day diffent food. Lots of activities can be done. Also there is a swimmingpool with a bar for cocktail. No loud noice only birds an monkeys.

Good but could be better. Food was basic but OK often rushed. Could not get a drink aftern 9:00 pm. Beautifully location. Make sure you go on the night safari. Great fun

Great resort! Monkeys everywhere, and the howler start early. Very clean, staff is attentive. Friendly people. Long boat ride in , was amazing for me, but some got sea sick. Food was good. There is little shopping or anything to buy out here. I would go back!
