I expected just water pools that were warm and and cold, but it was much better than I expected. It really embraced the natural landscape around it; it was gorgeous. Most people apparently go at night, but I went around 3pm so it wasn't crowded at all which made it more enjoyable.

Great hot springs experience! We went in the lunch window and there were very few other people here. Great bird watching ops while relaxing in the water. A temperature for everyone!

Very clean facilities, thermal pools were relaxing and I liked that they limited the number of people. The drink prices were reasonable too. The included buffet dinner was very flavorful and the open air pavilion was wonderful atmosphere. Service was very friendly!

Man this was the right place for the thermal experience. The pools range from hot to cold as you go down the mountain. The hottest I would guess was about 105. All these places seem to exaggerate how hot the water is. 105 is based on how I felt after sitting in it for about ten minutes.
Lunch was great but we prepaid for the meal and had to select a dining time and entree as we entered the park. It you have any allergies or sensitivities I guess you are supposed to let the front desk person know. Once you sit down, that food is coming based on the info they already have.
Super relaxing time. Jungle all around. Just very cool and pretty.
Only negative is I could not get hot water of any consequence out of the shower tap.
Bonus cool thing was the little spotter scope aimed way up in the tree at an iguana. Also saw a snake and turkey around the pools.response / report this review -

Came for the morning with my friend. There are five large pools with a couple of waterfalls and small pool adjacent. The jungle comes right up to the edge and watching the colourful birds will sipping an chilled drink was incredibly relaxing.
There were only about 30 people here, which is typical for the morning, according to the bartender.
They only let in 150 people, so make a reservation, especially in the afternoon/evening as those tend to fill up.response / report this review -

Went after a day of hiking. The buffet is good, not great, but definitely hits the spot if you've worked up an appetite. Plenty of free parking, unlike some of the hot springs in the area. Decent variety of hot springs, from nearly unbearable to lukewarm. Drinks are reasonably priced, $4 for domestic beers and $7 for cocktails. The cold pool is nice to reset the internal thermometer. Free lockers and decent shower facilities.

We came in the evening for both the springs and dinner. Hot springs are absolutely amazing! Couldn’t be better! Beautiful setting in the middle of the jungle with a great little bar to grab a cold drink. Would have been 5 stars but the food in the restaurant was little better than average.

Higher end hot springs. This place was gracious enough to allow me passage even though it was a high season and I did not book ahead. Yay for solo traveling! The day that I went was rather rainy but the hot springs made a perfect combo between hot springs and cool rain. Hoped to get in the very top part of the springs for some extra warmth but it seems they have shut off the path. Make sure you get a picture in the mini waterfall! Very scenic and chill place. I will definitely stop by again when I'm in the country!

Great place to go to, and definitely glad we chose this over the other hot springs available. A reservation is required as people showing up for turned away at the front desk. This is nice as a keeps the place for being crowded. You can go from noon to 5 p.m., or 5 p.m. till 10 p.m. we chose the later one and glad that we were able to enjoy it without cooking In the Heat of the day. They offer an option where you can have a buffet supper included in the price. We chose that option and the supper was amazing. It was also a lot cheaper then had we gone out to eat. Quite convenient that you could use your bracelet to order drinks at the bar without having to carry your wallet around with you. Would definitely recommend this place

Beautiful and perfect while sunny or even rainy! The place was quiet and very relaxing. We came for 10:00am to 4:00pm and enjoy having the pools most of the time just for ourselves!

Amazeballs! Well worth the price, and dinner is quite good too. We went in the evening and it was raining lightly and it was a great relaxing and peaceful experience. Would definitely go again.

Private volcanic thermal spa in the rainforest, managed by local family.
You are surrounded by flora and fauna, including lizards and birds. Beautiful landscape and very clean facility. Staff is very welcoming, and speaks English. You’re provided a locker to store personal items. Towels are provided.
Entry is limited to 120 guests during each visitor slot (10am to 4pm, 5pm to 10pm). We were among 6 guests during the morning session. Cost: $57/person includes lunch. Drinks are $7.

Went to the evening time slot & it was super quiet almost felt like we had the place to ourselves.
The pools are so well done & each pool is 0.5 degrees C lower each step down.
Is so hard to navigate all the options of hot springs in the area but this one being a more reasonable price definitely delivers. (I still think $34 entry is steep though for hot springs so glad we didn't go to the even more expensive places)
Prices are all USD and cocktails were all around $7. Drinks are served in plastic cups so you are able to sit in the pool to enjoy them.
We didn't eat here but seemed like there were 2 restaurants to choose from. We had a big lunch so weren't hungry - $20 extra pp for dinner does seem very steep though.response / report this review -

There are many options when it comes to natural hot-spring pools in the area. What differentiated Ecotermales for us was that they purposely limit the intake of customers, in order for it not to become over-crowded. This felt like it made for a more relaxing experience for us.
Whilst it was still clearly busy, and popular, there was plenty of space and people kept themselves to themselves. There was always space in one of the various pools to take a seat.
The staff at the front desk seemed quite happy and upbeat, but those at the bar appeared nonplussed by our presence which was a little off-putting. The drinks were nice however and not too unreasonably priced.response / report this review -

What an amazing experience. We looked at all the hot springs in the area and this one stuck out to us. It's close to la Fortuna and should be experienced at night! The staff are friendly and helpful and the pools and facilities are very clean. We were there just as the sun went down and it started to rain! Which was so nice because some of the pools are so hot! The food was pretty good for buffet style Costa Rican food.

Our travel agent recommended it. Get there early, as it can get a little crowded. We really enjoyed it. Nice bathroom to change and shower. Springs are really in the jungle, nice location, beautiful. I'd skip the dinner option, food was ok. After 2 hours we were ready to go back to Nayara

This was worth doing. I've been to other hot springs and this was by far the best. If you get there at the start of your time slot you will have the place to your self.

This place was a lot of fun. They have several areas that all lead down to the main pool. They also have a full bar, that had ok prices. It was a very relaxing day enjoying the hot springs.
