This company acts as though they are giving you a deal when you first get the car. Then when you come to bring it back they charge you extra for everything they said was "not a problem". Guy at the counter said we could return the car at 8am. When we returned the car at 9am the guy at the counter said drop off time was 6am and charged us for another day. Terrible company will never use again.

Nice and friendly staff. I have used several Rent-a-Car services in Costa Rica and here I got the best possible explanation of the contract conditions and the current road regulations.

I was really pleased w/ my experience here. The staff onsite were very helpful and polite. I would just recommend confirming the total price you will pay ahead of time - they, like most car rentals in CR, require you purchase at least a base level daily insurance with them. I was able to confirm everything via dollar rental car online chat so I knew exactly how much Id be paying when I picked up the car. I was able to get a basic sedan for about $140 USD for 6 days, so not a bad deal in the end.

Great, painless service. The quote received online was the same as given in the store, with no hidden fees, etc. The customer service was extremely friendly and helpful, and both employees spoke English fluently.

No headache service, they accepted Amex rental protection without arguing, paperwork took 20 min, overall $200 for small Nissan for 2 drivers over 6 days. The car was far from New, had dents, but that was ok, it was clean and drove as expected. Return - 10 min no pain.

Don't rent here!!!!!!!! We rented before we left the states and purchased the insurance. Once at the facility I was told the insurance was no good in Costa Rica and had to purchase insurance that was over five times the cost of renting the car for a week. I have never felt more backed into a corner in my life! its unfortunate that I can not give a lower rating than 1 star.

Excellent service from Edgar and the rest of the Dollar team at the the Paseo Colon location. I was told up front what to expect and how the process would work. Won't rent from anywhere else in CR. Pura Vida

Great service! The online chat support system is terrific. Message them anytime with all your questions, even if you want to extend your rental. No need to shell out your annual savings for the "piece of mind" insurance coverage. Costa Ricans are tame drives like my 75 year old grand pops with cataracts. I was expecting a slightly newer vehicle for the amount of money we paid but it was still decent.
