Small, but comfortable room. Breakfast was good. I got the traditional -- rice, beans, eggs and fruit. No hot water, but that is normal in Costa Rica. Just a block from the beach and a short walk to the main strip in Coco.

The restaurant was the worst, slow service, cold food, no apologies from anyone. Oh it took an hour to get 1 appetizer and there were 3 tables there.

Staying here for a week, for the value we love the place. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is a bit older but over all well maintained. Very close to the min road in Playa de Coco but we didn't hear road noise in the room only birds when we awoke.

Hotel is very nice, room were very cosy. Bed super comfortable. Food is pretty good, we only had breakfast and a few snack. Most of the staff are super nice and happy to serve you but we got a couple of staff that were not helpful at all..

    Overall a pretty good experience

The hotel is located on the main Street of the town and has a rustic pleasant Beach town charisma. The rooms are pretty simple bed tv bathroom no bathtub 3 pronged outlets. By far the best thing about this place is their customer service. WiFi pretty bad

Yuck. Old hotel. Dirty and falling apart. Real dive place. So disappointed. Shower head was rusted off, bathroom disgusting with mold and bugs. If you are looking for a cheap place to party, this is it. If you are looking for a nice hotel, so NOT it.

If you are looking to experience the heart of Playas del Coco, Guanacaste, Hotel Coco Beach is the place. My daughter and I visited Coco Beach in late August of 2017 as a gift from my mother who had to cancel at the last minute due to health issues. She had made arrangements for a weeks stay at Coco Beach Hotel and Casino overlooking the main street through the town, and just 2 short blocks from the beach. The accommodations were modest but very comfortable and the staff was amazing! We were there during the rainy season so the humidity and temperature were high and we were ever so grateful for the excellent air conditioning in our room. When we checked in we were welcomed at the front desk by Paula, Maria, Luis and Katherine with a complimentary ice cold passionfruit smoothie. The restaurant(Marisquiera), bar and pool area are all built in a fine rustic woodworking fashion and look out over the main street, which is quite an active place at night, especially on the weekend. We never made it to the casino or spa, but we did enjoy lounging at the pool drinking lots of batidos(fruit smoothies) when we were not out meeting the locals(Ticos) or swimming in the ocean. We ate at several other restaurants while we were there to experience different atmospheres, but in the end, nowhere else rivaled Marisquiera restaurant for the traditional Costa Rican breakfast. Dinner is a little more expensive than other nearby restaurants but definitely the nicest dining atmosphere on the main street. The restaurant staff was incredibly kind and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Adrian with his big smile kept the reggae music bumping for us whenever we were at the pool(SOJA!) and Gustavo and Ivannia we're so humble and kind in every moment of service that they were like a part of our family by the time we had to leave. Thank you as well to Fabiana, Armando and especially Gloria, who was always encouraging my daughter to practice speaking Spanish with her when we were dining, although all of the servers speak good English. We were even blessed by the kindest room cleaning staff imaginable. The day we left, the two cleaning ladies presented my daughter with a small gift to say farewell to her. I would definitely return to Coco Beach Hotel againthanks for the memories!

This one lonely star is quite the gift as there was no option for zero stars. I honestly don't know where to start. First of all, I can tell you this, the owner is not hurting financially Why then does she decide to use band-aids to fix the TV cabels and keep mattresses that make a healthy 26 year old feel like she got hit by a train the next day. This place is so unfriendly that the kitchen lady even had to look over her shoulder when filling my water bottle w tap water per my request. Not too sure what they put in the pool but my hair turned carrot orange after one dip.
Let's just say this After two trips to Costa Rica both for three weeks at a time I have stayed in numerous places for far less money that included both comfort and love.
    Don't do it.
