Food is amazing. Didn't stay in the hotel but ate at the restaurant twice in the visit. The sunset is glorious. And the food wow just wow the executive chef is Peruvian and does a latin fusion. We had the teriyaki chicken the argintinian steak and fish plus fetuccini alfredo. It was a battle to figure out which was best.
Only went in for a drink so I can't judge the hotel. Not really a bar for socialising but friendly staff and good for watching sports
Nice rooms in the center of Quepos with an ocean view for breakfast
The hotel has been around a while. The rooms are nice and the beds comfortable. The in-room safes are the older type with a key that you pay $3 per day for. Unlike the safes that you create your own unique code to open and usally do not pay extra. Breakfast us included and very good. Fresh fruit included. Order the pancakes. They are very good. Tours can be booked from the front desk. Read the brochure carefully.
Giving a 5 due to helpful staff and central location. Because of location it can be noisy from outside, at night, but slept okay. Pic is view from the restaurant.
The location can't be beat if you are fishing out of the marina. Very friendly staff. Clean and rooms are well kept. The room we had was very small, but we didn't know the room configurations. Very noisy at night if you get a room that is on the south side of the hotel.
Great small hotel with a prefect location and rooms and restaurant over looking the Pacific. Safe and secure property. In the heart of Quepos.
Probably the only nice/secure hotel downtown. Was robbed at gunpoint down the road though
Very restful place, well located, great views of the ocean, safe, clean and quiet. Great to find some tranquility and peace.
good wifi, good value
bad odor in the room, the restaurant sucks, but The Brooklyn Bridge bakery is 1 minute walk and is the best place in the world to take breakfast
Excellent views from the 3rd floor restaurant balcony. Rooms are very dated but clean. The bathrooms are clean but the shower heads and knobs are old and in some rooms, they do not even work.
Just cross the street and feel the peace of watching the sea.
Or just from the balcony.
Great location but a little noisy
i got straight up robbed, stay some where else, you can have better accommodation for half the price
This location is ideally located with close (easy walking distance) to the new marina and just about anything that you would need in Quepos (admittedly a small town). The main bus station is 1 block away and taxis are relatively easy to catch near the hotel.
The hotel is very well maintained by longtime maintenance staff that are always working to improve upon the amenities and building.
The hotel management has also done an excellent job on eliminating the noise that was common from the small park across the street on the malecon.
We ended up staying here when we ditched our reservation at KACHA B&B (where there was nasty cockroaches). We called last minute at night time and they told us they had availability. a few minutes later we showed up and were greeted by the friendliest and silliest receptionist who thought our story was pretty funny. He showed us multiple rooms and let us choose which one we wanted BEFORE we payed. we only stayed here one night but they provided secure parking 1 block away with clean rooms and all the regular ammeneties you would want from a place like this (ice bucket, AC, warm shower, clean comfy bed). and best of all there are NO cockroaches here. thank god. We also took advantage of their complimentary breakfast of rice/beans and scrambled eggs or pancakes with toast and fresh squeezed mango/pineapple juice.
This best western is located in a little bit of a sketchier side of town but we were only there to sleep, no big deal :) The price was definitely right, thanks best western!
I can only speak to the casino, which is very small and local. But that is what makes it great and gives the casino lots of charm!
