Outstanding hotel with 5-star views of downtown Shanghai and an stunning infinity pool. Rooms are well stocked and feature BOSE speakers and an amazing jaccuzzi bathtub. The hotel itself is tucked into a high-end office complex and possess a hidden garden and pond for relaxed outdoor drinks.
For (at the time of writing), a nightly rate of around $300 USD, its well worth the money for a luxury getaway but more budget - minded travelers should consider the nearby Swisshotel Grand.response / report this review -

What seemed to be a nice pick in one of the best areas of Shanghai, Jing'an Park, after quite a bit of online research, turned out to be far better than I bargained for. From the very first moment inside their absolutely stunningly designed entrance and lobby, I sensed that I had scored.
Having travelled all around the world staying in some of the finest hotels, The Puli definitely stood out as one of my better hotel experiences.
The attention to design and architectural detail was superb – from all of the common areas throughout the property to the rooms, you had this unusual sense of peacefulness but also potently sensual Zen like energy. I stayed on one of the "Club" floors which added a significant level of extra amenities and services – including butler service, complimentary stocked minibar, free laundry service – etc. etc. I'm not usually a fan of concierge levels as often they don't represent good value, but in this case I would highly recommend this add on.
The staff would bend down backwards to accommodate any request (even though some lacked fluency in English) – but whatever language gaps they had they made up for in friendliness and a genuine desire to serve.
I would unhesitatingly recommend the Puli for anyone who enjoys a brilliantly designed cutting edge aesthetic at a price that represents excellent value. I'll definitely be returning to the Puli the next time I am in Shanghai!response / report this review -

The Puli Hotel is a great oasis right in the centre of Shanghai. A great design from the lobby to the rooms. Very good access to the subway. Most recommended.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in for the price. Everything felt so glamorous and glitzy. Didn't get to explore the neighborhood too much, but Jing'an park right outside is a wonderful gem!
