Excellent location. Helpful staff. Clean rooms. If you plan to arrive Sunday or late a night, be sure to confirm that there will be someone to do the check-in at the reception.

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at The Starling Residence. We found the staff most helpful and pleasant. The location was really good with the tram stop outside the residence. The restaurant was also really nice and staff equally helpful. We will definitely return. Thank you Starling!

You pay for what you get, true. But at least a minimum daily housekeeping would be necessary.
Old rooms, sprung beds, noisy due to busy street and awful reception.
In any other civilised country it would be a 1 or 2* max

This is a great place to stay on a budget while exploring Geneva. It's got a small but functional kitchenette that we used often. It's very central to many things in Geneva and walkable distance to many sites. We had free WiFi, though it's not very reliable.

Nice residence, clean and just a few walks from the tram station(Biggest advantage , if you consider that the taxi costs more than 50€ to get you there from the airport). On top of that, the free provided transportation card proved to be very usefull and the public transportation was very easy to use. In addition, the price was very reasonable too.
The Italian restaurant was nice (had a very friendly sardinian guy who offered us free sweet.) and in the morning the restaurant offered free breakfast.
The only small drawback is the exterior look of the Starling residence and the not so quite area.
Totally recommend it for suh a nice price.

Nothing to complain about here: crystal clean, well appointed suites. Great beds, good wifi, everything as it should be. Complete little kitchen; wish I would have had time to use it)

Very nice apartment close to the centre. Not the biggest room but has everything you need and was very well maintained.

The only thing that might cause problems is the noise from the busy road. Traffic was quite loud from the 5th floor so if this is something that would put you off ask for a room at the rear of the apartments.
