Great hotel. Just on the edge of zurich but well connected with the number 10 and 9 trams into the city and to the airport. The beds were comfortable and the staff were helpful. It is also near the art gallery which i loved visiting. I would stay in this hotel again. Right next door to a coop if you need anything.

All employees are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy.
Some parts have seen better days, like worn-out armchairs and warped wooden floor panels. But it's not a big deal.

Overall the hotel was really nice and a good value for the money. It was clean and updated, and the staff was very friendly. However our experience was not as good as it could have been for two reasons. One was that this late August period in Zurich was unseasonably warm, so our room was hot. There is no air conditioning so a small table fan was the only way to cool the room down. We had a west-facing room that got the afternoon sun which made the room hot in the afternoon and evening. The second thing was that the local church, which is just across the street rings its bells every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. One through four bells gives the 15-minute interval and one through 12 bells gives the hour. If you close the window to the balcony you don't hear the bells so much but then you roast in the hot room. We had to keep both the window and the door to the balcony open, so we heard the church bells all night long. I ended up laying awake every night and counting the bells until the wee hours of the morning! We asked to be moved to a different room but the hotel was apparently full and this was not possible.

Recommendations: If you are visiting Zurich in the summertime and plan to stay at this hotel, I would recommend the following. When making your reservation or at check-in, ask for a room on the east side of the hotel. The church bells should not seem as loud there and the afternoon sun will not heat up your room as much. Bring a pair of ear plugs just in case you can still hear the bells in an east-facing room. And an east-facing room is right above the tram tracks so you might hear the trams while they are running.

Comfortabe hotel in an ideal location to enjoy time in Zurich. Staff went out of their way to make our stay really enjoyable. Being sited on a major tram run is excellent for getting around.

The hotel is situated next to clock tower of church,, and every 15 minutes,, the bells ring ,, it’s like an alarm that doesn’t stop ,, we moved rooms ,, but it doesn’t help you can hear it anywhere in the hotel,, even with all the windows closed it is very loud,, the hotel is also dogs are allowed,, so there was a husky next to our room as well,, there is no air conditioning in the room,, room is hot and if you open the window the church bells are even louder,, the wifi in the hotel is free but can’t stream any videos ,, so it’s basically only for what’s app and Facebook,, the location itsnt so great as it might look close to the shopping street,, most of the walk are stairs,, I would rate the hotel 2 stars

Leonardo Hotel was clean, comfortable, & located close to downtown using public transit. Just what we needed for our short stay in Zurich. Fridge allowed us to buy groceries at the nearby coop, so that helped make up for no breakfast. Tv had good channels that we could wind down with at night. The only thing I didn't love was how loud the street was at night, but that is unavoidable in a bigger city when you want to be centrally located. Friendly staff. Would recommend staying here.

Very near to lakefront, Zurich Bhf,Direct tram to airport,near to super markets,and near to Indian Restaurant if you feel eating Indian food,on top of it very helpful staff..

Location is great, tram lines direct to all the places you need to be. Airport, downtown, main station, old town. Breakfast is 22 CHF, but there are bakeries and a Coop nearby for cheaper foods. Modern decor rooms, staff very friendly. I'd say maybe our only downside is that the mattresses are a bit thin and our room is boiling hot, even with the radiator turned right down. Quiet neighbours, but a noisy church which like to ring their bells for a long time on the odd occasion, but I guess that adds to the Swiss ambience!
