Only problem I had was walking back and forth from the hostel to hiking routes /mountain transports and from the train station to the hostel because of the stairs you have to climb to access it. Wasn't expecting it but it allowed for a great view slightly above the city.

The youth hostel appears to be a lovely example of the hostel long experience. The double room with included bathroom was essentially a hotel room (without a refrigerator).

Great place and location. Just a bit pricey for a youth hostel, despite being in a pricey place. Enjoyed our time here with the family and had some good games of table tennis.

Although expensive by international standards, you get what you pay for. In this case it is good beds, warm showers, clean hallways, inclusive breakfast in the morning. A much better deal than the other hostel down the road that is a few francs less expensive. Will return again soon.

This hostel has an awesome view of the Matterhorn from the front of the building. If walking from the train station, it gets pretty steep going up to it at the end. It was clean when I was there and was pretty crowded for the off season. The reception people were nice, but I've had better interactions at other hostels. It can get pretty loud at night, but for the price it's not bad,

Arrived here around 10pm and it was a bit hard to carry our bags from station actually. But the staffs were quite nice and the room conditions were good too. We just took this place to save our money but it was worthy to choose !!

The food wasn't great and very small, especially for the price. The first room we were put in was very badly designed, small, and at the bottom floor and the building didn't have a lift. We asked for another one which they kindly gave to us, though we had to move our bags again up the 4 flights of stairs, and then another 4 flights up to the other room, because neither buildings had a lift. The new room was much better, though it didn't have an ensuite, we didn't mind at all. This room was also within reach of wifi unlike the other room.
