Perfect location for a bier and snack after skiing at the glacier. View from the outside patio was of the Matterhorn
Couldn't be happier.
I can't recommend anyone eat here, the food was not good even with low standards. I had the spaghetti, it was the type of sauce squeezed from a bag, the noodles were akin to chef Boyardee. My husband had schnitzel and fries, although he said the schnitzel was decent his fries looked as if they had been in a freezer for years and tasted like they had been microwaved.
The service was fine, bit nothing more than basic. Oh and they charged us .50 per glass of water (didn't tell us first) and then told us the water was actually free but that they're charging us for washing our dirty glass.
The location is the reason they're still open and get away with $18 spaghetti. You can sit and have a full view of the Matterhorn, it is glorious.
So maybe have some wine on the terrace and check out the view but save your money to eat somewhere else.
My rating goes for the service, views and their local beer. Allthough it's a bit expensive - this restaurant has the best view towards Matterhorn. You will enjoy it!
Amazing restaurant with an incredible view of the Matterhorn!
Fantastic deal in town. Steak is very tender and juicy. Attentive service. My favourite place in Zermatt for dinner after a day of skiing.
Beautiful views from the patio. Typical prices for Zermatt food.
Good value
If you want to eat authentic Swiss Fondue🇨🇠with a terrific view of the Matterhorn, this is the place😀
Great little restaurant with fantastic views of the Matterhorn. The one waitress is very nice and accommodating. No fancy dishes here, just great hearty Swiss food.
