Stayed in the Sportsman rooms with no regrets. Great location in the center of town, and the transit pass they give you when you stay during the summer provides unlimited free access to all of the local buses, trains, funiculars, and gondolas. Go up one mountain per day with two people and the amount you save not paying for the transportation is actually more than the cost of the hotel room.

My wife and I visited for dinner after a long train ride. We were seated promptly but we're ignored for 25 minutes. Another party of four came in and were seated and then given their water, wine, and then their order was taken. I attempted to get the waiters attention but he mumbled something under his breath and walk past quickly. We got up and left. Spend your money elsewhere. They obviously don't need it. Rude and obnoxious.

My parents have been coming to eat here for years and have praised it above and beyond so I was very excited to eat here on our way through town - sadly the waiter could not be bothered with us and was flat out rude. Food was amazing but the service needs work and you better speak Swiss German there was not the slightest attempt on his part to speak high German. Will give it another go and hope for a different waiter.

Amazing hotel, beautiful carved wood & stained glass ceilings. Large indoor pool and 2 saunas. Very attentive staff.

We had an amazing room with a wonderful view of the lake. Slept really well, and the room was huge. Staff was friendly. But the food was a bit lackluster.
