Nice hotel and restaurant located directly at the Brienzer lake. The food was slightly above average but the view and athmosphere is fantastic. Also the selection of wines is very good. I would recommend it for a romantic dinner.

10 mins walkable distance from train station ringgenberg and ferry station is just at the main entrance to the hotel .
Room service was good
Plenty of options available in morning breakfast.

I'm writing this as I look up at the ceiling from my bed and there are more fruit flys than I can count. I have also killed one centipede, one spider, one horse fly, and maybe 4 fruit flys in the last 5 minutes before I looked up at the ceiling and gave up. So gross. Also I had them change the sheets once I got in the room because sheets that were currently on had a few small stains that looked like blood to me. I can't go to sleep without ranting a little hence the review! I stay at budget hotels in the states all the time (I'm from mn and often snowmobile from one cheapo hotel to the next during winter snowmobile trips) so I'm good with a basic hotel, but this one is just gross. On the plus side, very nice view, food was good, and our server very nice. Also found it kind of funny they have coffee makers in room, but no coffee or tea in the room. Anyway, would not recommend this place. Also needs a lot of cosmetic updates and has the old "mothballs in the closet" smell.
