Wonderful place. We stayed in the family room that had a great view of the Jungfrau. The food was good, and the staff was warm and attentive.
Other reviewers warn about the hike up the hill. Yeah, it gets your heart pumping. But if you're coming to this region, and don't want a hike, you should stay down in Interlaken with all the other tourists rolling around their extra large suitcases.
You can pony up some francs to avoid the hardest part of the hike. Purchase a ticket on the Allmendhubelbahn, and from there, you can hike down to the pensionhouse using the Bir Mittleren Tili road. But, it's not worth the extra time and money. Just do the quick hike.
Google Maps says that the location is permanently closed, but that is false. It seems to be one of those pay a hefty fee for Google to change your map status situations. It is very much open and worth the time.

Super clean, friendly staff, relatively inexpensive. It's a bit of a hike (30mins uphill) from Mürren, but it's a really pleasant spot.
Breakfast was very nice.

This place was fantastic! Yes there was quite the trek up the road to get there, and we needed a few breaks to catch our breath. But the fresh air and the view are so worth it. If you ask around in town there are options for a cab to take you up, but we were being stubborn and cheap. The staff is wonderful and the food was delicious! We came early July and there was only one other couple in the place, so it was peaceful. The bathrooms and showers are down the hall and shared, so just be ready for that when you come. Overall, great experience and highly recommended!

Incredibly rude and ridiculously overpriced. 13 CHF for a bottle of water.
We had to go find our own silverware and napkins and we were the ONLY people in the restaurant.

At the end of the meal I went to get an extra pack of sugar and was screamed at (literally screamed at) by the chef. This is as I'm about to pay him 90 EUR for some hot dogs and schnitzel.

These people need to find another line of work as they are not cut out for anything related to hospitality. They are giving Switzerland a bad name. Don't get tricked into going into this place.

Can't say enough good things about this place. First of all, a user remarked that the marker isn't accurate. That was some time ago and I think they have fixed it. It is, however, a good twenty minute climb up from town. If you are staying at Sonnenberg you will think long and hard before heading into Mürren for dinner or drinks.

But I wouldn't care to. I was just passing through and arrived about 4pm after a long day of hiking. It was perfect. Reasonable rates. Food was fairly typical Swiss cuisine with an ample breakfast of cold cuts, yogurts, bread, and what looked to be their own homemade preserves. Fantastic. I was alone in a bunk room, but would have been fine had a dozen others showed up. Friendly staff. Words fail to describe the view.

An exceptionally pleasant place to spend the evening and stay the night.
