Don't bother to book a room here. This place is in middle of nowhere. Unless you are traveling with a car or can afford taxi everyday for 25 CHF to travel to nearest public transport, this hotel is not suitable for tourists who would have planned travel to nearby locations.

The rooms are tiny for the price and pathetic. Do not even think to book classic size room. Do yourself a favor and stay at decent hotel near Interlaken Ost.

Superb hotel and restaurant. We had only lunch in the restaurant which was very good (especially the local sausages). The view from the terrace is fantastic and includes the Brienzer lake and the Giessbach waterfall. You can reach it by ship, during a walk along the lake, and by bus. Even if you are only eating there you should have a look at the pretty resturbished interior of the hotel.

Superior view from both sides .. looking at the lake from the front side and looming to the falls from behind .. you can also set at the restaurant terrace and enjoy both scenes . I would give it 5 stars if the food were very good .

Beautiful view. We didn't stay here but we stopped by while hiking the waterfall nearby. We loved the property and location. There was even a Ferrari in the parking lot!

Super nice location tucked away in another world. Service is a bit slow and seems there is some fluctuation of waiters which is a bit sad. Lots of magical moments can happen. Some rooms have only limited view against the back door/wall. The public areas are super nice..

Historic atmosphere at the beautiful brienzersee. Dated but well maintained and lots of charm. Good restaurant with a slight exageration on creativity, less would seem to be more. Friendly staff.

The views alone make it worth the hike from closer towns. Quaint, peaceful and charming. Our room of fair size, though lacking a view as we were on the opposite side of the lake. Great breakfast, and a calming evening bar and live piano.
