Highly recommend this hotel. Very classy and warm. We were accompanied by foreign visitors and we highly appreciated Mrs. Pfeiffer who went out of her way to make our dinner extra special!! 2 thumbs up on great service and attention to detail!!

Definately would not stay here again. We were locked out of our room for two hours on Saturday night. The reception was not open. The manager was on holiday. Our keys would not work therefore we could not get in.
Eventually off duty staff arrived and gave us a key from reception. Next day we had a leak in our bedroom from ceiling! Eventually gave us another room but the beds were too close to the bathroom which did not have a door and the lights were outside therefore reflecting on my eyes!!

The staff are sooo rude!!!! unhelpful! There are no bed linens!!! No teas or coffees or kettle in the room

Definately a 2 star hotel!!!!

Would not recommend this hotel!!!!

Great hotel with fabulous rooms. As with all of Switzerland not cheap. The only bad thing was the fact they don't have any AC in the hotel. Even in a cool night in summer you need to keep the windows closed because of church bells ringing during the night(a bit crazy for a tourist town in my opinion), and it gets a bit hot. During a heat spell it might be worse.

Another small downside of Spiez was the small number of upscale restaurants. Thun and Interlake are 10 and 15 minutes away but it would have been nice to have a better variety in the hotel closer vicinity. Having said that I think Spiez is a better base than Interlaken because of the number of tourist that flock to Interlake. We did have a car keep in mind

The stuff is top notch and so is the overall service.

Me and my sister loved the stay at Eden. We had a very warm welcome and pick up was arranged by the hotel from train station. I met with a small accident while riding bike in the town and hotel staff helped me and took me to the hospital. They also arranged the pick up from hospital to hotel in the evening. The spa and pool area was very clean and quiet. I think this hotel was perfect for a weekend getaway. I would love to come back for a special occasion. Needless to say, the hotel is located is such a way that you get a very nice view of the town, lake and mountains.

What a gem of a Hotel. We discovered it quite by chance and decided to spend a long weekend for my husbands birthday. Two nights and three days. We arrived in Spiez by public transport and could see Hotel Eden from the station. An easy stroll through the little town, stopping at the market on the way - and we found ourselves in the beautiful gardens. A very warm welcome from the staff as well as a lovely welcome drink awaited us. We were able to leave our luggage at reception as it was too early to book in, and explore the village and lake side. On our return we were shown around by a lovely lady and everything was explained and we were escorted to our third floor room which was spacious and very clean. As was the Spa area. We enjoyed the twin bubble baths and pool all on our own - no crowds to contend with. The breakfasts were absolutely divine as well as the dinner which was included in our stay. One last item i must mention is the bedding - it was heaven flopping into bed after a swim in the pool in the evening - soft and silky duvet covers with fluffy duvets!! I have nothing but praise for the Hotel Eden and the members of staff who all went out of their way to make our stay special. Note the village church bell rings every 15 minutes.. and that is the extent of my criticism.
