Balmers was great! Loved the atmosphere and newly renovated room. I would have liked to see lockers in the room instead of outside. Towels for the sink would have also been helpful. :)

I tell all of my friends to come here because it is simply an amazing hostel. The breakfast is to die for. The hammock room is awesome and the rooms themselves are cozy. Had an unforgettable time here!

Pretty quirky place but cool. Attic room is spacious. Communal restrooms, reasonably clean, but weird showers where you have to keep pressing the knob to keep it running. Nice outdoor bar and underground club. Short walk to the train station.

Great environment/atmosphere, decent location. Parking is not ideal. Bathroom cleanliness was an issue. Staff was very friendly. The mattresses, even by hostel standards, were not good. But, again, great atmosphere.

Really cool with a great vibe. Popped in to see a friend who works here having moved to Interlaken from the UK. Facilities seemed great, good variety of drinks available, lots of places to sit. The tent village is really cool too with bar, hot tub, pool etc. Definitely aimed at the 20-something age group. A really nice place, I will definitely consider staying here in future after seeing it today!

Quaint little hostel, they have a laundromat on site which is very handy, and they give free detergent. Rooms can be a bit hot sometimes. Staff is very nice and helpful. The nightclub has fun activities.

Awesome hostel in a beautiful place! perfect place for backpackers; great vibes, super social, super nice staff, big choice for free breakfast, delicious burgers in the beer garden and so many things to do around! I'll definitely come back! :-D

Awesome hostel with plenty of things to do. Bar, Club, games room, Hammocks (for sleeping or relaxing), free bus ticket for the whole town, right next to an Irish pub and most importantly lovely staff! We didn't get a chance to do any of the local activities which included ice wall climbing and parachuting but next time we're here we'll certainly give it a go! Not your typical empty boring hostel and is only a 15 minute walk from the Interlaken west station. Would highly recommend.

I stayed at Balmers Hostel for three nights while on vacation. I booked a private room and could not have been more pleased with it. It came with a sink within the room, towels, and all of the necessities. The bathrooms and showers were close by and very clean. The location of Balmers was a short 5-10 minute walk from downtown. I was most pleased with the environment and the overall service I received while at Balmers. The staff members were very friendly and available. They also offered a free breakfast every morning. I would highly suggest stopping here or staying here as it has been one of the best hostels I have stayed at while traveling abroad.

Definately one of the best hostels ive ever stayed in. The hostel is as just as the city: amazing. It offers you a great young and vibrant atmospher. It has an old school rustic ambient that when your inside of it feels like you are in a maze, which is very cool. It conts with a helpfull and friendly staff, games room, hammock room, pianos, chess boards, tasty griil and bar and the best of it, for me, was the club that is literally under the hostel and offers us travelers something most of the other hostels dont: the opportunity the meet local people. A bunch of them go there and it is awesome. The hostel also give us discounts for lots of the outdoors activities available in town. The only "down" sides for me were that depending on the room you are the wifi is poor and some showers could be improved. But come on, if you are a true traveler, you know this is not a big deal at all. Thanks for the great stay. Hostel 10/10. Cheers everyone!!

I had an amazing experience during my stay at Balmers. The hostel was well located, close to grocery stores and other useful facilities, including a bus stop 10 meters away. There was a free breakfast with lots of options and the staff was helpful with everything I needed. Some of the facilities might need some renewing like painting, but that wasn't a problem at all ;) Wonderful hostel, I hope to come back one day and I definitely recommend it to anyone!

Travelling on a budget or looking to meet some good people? This is the spot! There's a few different options and they can sort you out with everything you want to do in town Balmer's is more than a hostel, it could make your trip! Oh and there's a hot tub on the roof!!
