I woke up this morning with Chest pain. So I decided to go to the emergency room. I arrived here at 7:20 am I quickly got an electrocardiogram but then I had to wait until 10:50am to get a room. They left me alone in it and closed the door with a strip of paper towel over the window. Without any machinery monitoring my condition. . . I was so tired I wanted to take a nap. But I was scared I would get defibrillated when the doctor discovered me.
At 11:50am his procedure only took 5 min including scheduling me an appointment. Which is great. But it still took me 5 hours to get 6 min worth of Healthcare.
There's nothing wrong with the nurses there or the doctors. All they need is a bigger hospital with more doctors and nurses. . .But I know if I suffer a heart attack and need an ambulance I'm going to scream take me to Detroit I rather be in debt then dead.
If you're going to emergency you will have better luck driving to Chatham General and driving back to Windsor after they take care of you. If you are looking to have triage nurses lie to you about your place in line and wait for 8 hours then by all means stay.
My husband got brought into the emergency room by ambulance. He was cut off by a car near the casino and his shoulder looks broke he's in extreme pain. Been waiting now for over 4 hours. In the acute care portion of the ER. The nurses have not taken his vitals his pain is increasing and the Dr has not come to see him. It is Saturday night and they say there is only 1 doctor. The doctor has not left the one side of the ER. When I go to have a smoke he is at the nurses station chatting up the nurses. But no time to check on my husband apparently. This is the worst experience I have ever had in an ER waiting my husband in excruciating pain while no one is doing a thing. Just a nurse giving us a halfass excuse. They should be ashamed this treatment of a patient.
The staff are nice. But their emergency proceedures suck. I have an elderly aunt who is scheduled for an operation. The firat time, she was all prepped up for surgery. Half an hour later, I was told they had an emergency to handle so she got held back for two hours. Hour and a half later, the nurse tells us that the operation is cancelled and had the audacity to give us a $2.00 tims card to "buy a cup of coffee."
Our next operation appointment is today. The last one was on June 27. That was two weeks ago. Now the same thing is happening again with her waiting for an op room and me writing this angry review. If they tell they're cancelling it then I'll have sone choice words for them.
The people booking the MRI 's need to explain their process better. They ask you to show up at your appointment time. So you schedule your day around that, come to find out your ACTUAL appointment time is half an hour later!!!!!! We've already showed up a half hour early to accommodate the time we were first told. Now the food thats prepped for our grandsons first birthday party isn't going to be there on time. The receptionist says that they're running late and we'll be in after 1:00.
If we would of been told that the actual appointment time was 1:00 and not 12:30 we wouldn't of taken the time!!!!
Amazing nurses and doctors, everyone is really nice. Much better bedside manner than Met.
Amazing group of nurses (male and frmale) and doctors. I had an insane alergic reaction so they took me in very fast. I was treated very nicely
Wanted to say thank you to the doctor & nurses, who looked after my two year old son. You were efficient , kind and quick. Which every mother appreciates.
The nurses were amazing specially Dibbie.
Thank you for taking care of me.
Very well jobs done here, good hospital.
The nurses were kind and supportive. The concern for my health was sincere. The only criticism was the doctors were rushed but I believe that is more because of cutbacks.
I would rate a zero if it was possible. Incompetent nurses that aren't up to date on the status of their patients at a shift change. No regular rounds to ensure a patient has adequate pain management. Mind blowing that anyone could rate highly of this hospital if they needed to be admitted through emergency. Short staffed or not we aren't dealing with people who have any respect for the lives of others. Surely their families wouldn't be treated this way.
