This review is for the hospital in general, not for the emergency department. Going in for stuff like x rays, ultrasound or other routine stuff is normally quick. Most of the staff I've encountered is friendly and helpful. My children were all delivered here and the maternity department is top notch. $5 flat rate parking.

Worst emergency room ever. They only get one star because it won't let me give them a 0. ER doctors are miss and hit for actually helping you. Again spent 5 hours to see a doctor. He had no bedside manner what so ever, did not let me fully explain why I was there. I have multiple injuries from a work accident and needed help. He was very rude and reamed me out for coming there. Told me it's not his fault I couldn't get into see my family doctor or treating specialists and he's not there to do paperwork. Gave me a note for work and said it'll be $20. To make things worse, other patience heard him. While waiting for the note I heard the people next to me discussing what was said. Will not go to this hospital again for anything and definitely do not recommend this hospital. This doctor that was on this morning should be ashamed of himself, I've never been treated so badly in my 53 years.
What ever happened to the doctors oath?

Not this doctor or a few others I've seen at this hospital ER. Don't forget, they will be paid for seeing you, he'll be paid for being rude and not providing any treatment. In my opinion, the doctors that are like this should lose the right to practice medicine.

Welcome to Canada. Where 70% of your tax money will go to healthcare, yet you will still lose a child due to the 8hr-long waiting lines, and the nurses who dance to the tune of this culture of death will just say "if he didn't make it, that's because he was defective, and would have been a burden to the government". The actual service is ok. However, the emergency-room waiting time is absolutely unbelievable. I cut my hand really badly and needed a number of stitches. I had to wait 5 hours before the doctor even looked at it. They then gave me a numbing shot in preparation for the stitches, and the doctor returned 2 hrs later to do the stitches. A nurse came 1 hr after that to bandage my hand, and then let me go home. I was there from 7 at night, until after 4 A.M. at least I was able to fall asleep while waiting. Another time, I went in for an emergency, with an incredible head pain, my nose was bleeding, and I was nauseated. They gave me a bucket to puke in, a box of tissue for my bleeding nose, and an Advil for the pain. I had to wait 4 hours before I was called in to see a doctor. I have also gone in several times over the past 2 years with a family member, and have actually NEVER gotten out in under 4 hours.

Went in for an ultrasound, at 1pm. It is now 6:06pm and STILL SITTING AROUND WAITING FOR RESULTS (and the hospital is not even slightly busy). Next time, just take the damn kidney out. That process would be faster.

My husband went in for Day Surgery 2015 - Everyone (In this department) was friendly and his care was exceptional.

I had never been to this hospital until last week. I had day surgery here for a knee scope performed by Dr. Elashaal. I was so very impressed with the nurses, surgical and recovery! They were so warm, kind, comforting. It made a difficult experience more then bearable. I can't thank them enough! I will certainly be back when my other knee needs attention.
