Willow guest house is a beautiful home run by two charming hosts. Our room was ready early, and we were greeted joyfully. We were able to switch rooms once there to accommodate last minute changes to our schedule, and when an emergency arose, we were able to use a neighbouring rooms facilities without question. Breakfast was delicious, catering to our vegan lifestyle, as well as being creatively prepared. Attention to detail was put into the presentation, and we were treated like it was a 5 star restaurant. At a perfectly reasonable price, I would highly recommend anyone travelling in the area to give this location a chance!
Very nicequiet
A little distance from Courtenay but a very nice quiet location.
The hosts were great.
The accommodation was comfortable, spotless and beautifully decorated.
Breakfasts were health and first class and probably as good if not better than many 5 star hotel restaurants we have visited.
Great conversations with the hosts.
It just felted like home.
All and all an excellent stay.
We would stay here again in a heart beat when we visit the area in the future.
We stayed at Willow Guest House for three nights in August 2011. The room was quiet, attractive and very comfortable with a lounge and deck that were wonderful to relax in at the end of the day. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. Dee and Warren were great hosts, attentive and full of suggestions for good places to go. They provided many little extras that made the stay so comfortable. From the welcoming drinks and fresh baking on our arrival to the morning drinks and chats at the breakfast bar before our meal, the stay was wonderful.
We've stayed at many B&Bs; this one was excellent, more like a luxury stay at a favourite friend or relative's house.
I played in the B.C. Sr. Summer Games September 15th to 17th, 2010 in Courtenay. My husband was travelling with me and we tried to book a hotel in June and everything was taken, so I looked up B&B's. WILLOW GUEST HOUSE was the first one I contacted and they had one room left for those 3 days.
The accomodations were luxurious and private. We actually were spoiled with the "special breakfasts" they prepared for us. It's a lovely home on a very quiet street and lots to do close by. We also shared lots of stories and laughs.
We are so happy to have met Warren & Dee McDonald, if there were 2 more gracious people anywhere, we had not met them until now.
