Nice Hotel. Staff are great and allow me to use their lounge for work purposes even when I don't stay the night. I travel to Courtenay and if i'm staying there overnight this is my hotel to stay at.

Service from staff was top-notch.
Room was at the back, faced a nearby metal bridge which was noisy, but probably quieter than the front which is on the main road. Room was clean, bed was comfy. No mini-fridge in the room which was a disappointment.

The hotel is deceiving from the outside and lobby, it looks well maintained. A walk through the hallways to our room showed the age of the building. The stairwell smells musty. There is construction going on so maybe that means they are updating rooms.
We were put in a room with a queen bed even though I reserved a room with a King bed, and yes it makes a difference in the quality of my sleep. When we called down to the front desk about it we were told that they had a lot of reservations and they couldn't make any changes. So what is the point of making a reservation if they don't hold the room for you??
The rooms are old, musty and noisy, we could hear people walking in the room above us.
Overall it was not a good experience. We won't stay at a Best Western in the future.

The Best Western Westerly is always my only consideration for staying in Courtenay. In fact I will most often stay 2 nights there when I have 1 day of business each in both Courtenay & Nanaimo. The Chalk billiard lounge, Canoe pub & Forbidden craft beer tasting room, & on-site beer/wine store make this hotel a fun stay. And night manager Tyler is always welcoming, taking the time to get to know guests by name. And the rooms are clean & comfortable with all the amenities you need. I highly recommend the Westerly!

When I was leaving breakfast i asked the desk to order me a cab for an hr later when Tom called the cab company said no cabs for 2 hrs I had a flight in 2 hrs.
Tom then arranged for the on duty mgr to drive me to plane. Exceptional above and beyond service and so much appreciated.
This caring helpful attitude is evident through out this motel in all areas.
The management needs to be commended for their training and hiring

Very clean hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. With on site pool/hot tub, games room, coin laundry, 3 separate food/beverage, restaurant/lounge areas to choose from makes the stay even more enjoyable. I'll be back and will highly recommend here. I can't complain about the price to stay either.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel, nice and clean. Staff were absolutely fantastic - Alex, Tarun and Tyler to name a few - amazing customer service, great with kids - a credit to best western. Highly recommended!

The Best Western Hotel chain is solid and dependable. You can always rely on the staff to be pleasant and helpful and to take care of anything that you need. Each location is unique and special and the little extras that you find such as their breakfasts make this chain of hotels our first choice. We have travelled in many countries to many of the Best Western Hotels and each experience has been amazing. My husband has spent many nights in hotels over the last twenty years and his go to is always the Best Western. Beside the good service and reliability, the Best Western Hotel chain have an amazing points program that reward their customers for their loyalty. Keep up the good work Best Western.
