  This was a really nice hostel and a great location. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. It was a comfortable bed and liked that all the bathroom where individual.

  I was staying with NS Ride, mountain bike club, from Vancouver. We had delicious dinner there and had so much fun. I would like to come back next year!!

  Great place to enjoy mountain biking and skiing on Vancouver Island. You can stay in a share room with bulk beds for $30 or you can have your room for about $80. Shared ammenities are great. The place was completly renovated not a long ago.

  Great location for the trails and friendly staff. Music and pool table upstairs and good bars and restaurants nearby

  I was staying at the Riding Fool for NYE weekend. A Bunch of friends and myself went snowboarding at Mt. Washington​ and with all the rushing to leave Cumberland I forgot my snowboard boots at the Hostel.
  A big thank you to the staff who were very polite and sincere. My boots were kept safe until I could get a friend to pick them up weeks later.

  Nice old timber character building. Good large kitchen and common area. Good location for skiiing and biking. Can be quite noisy in the morning with people stomping past your room to the kitchen and back, from the early hours.

  Best hostel I have ever stayed in, and the best riding on the island is only a few pedal strokes away!
