Had an awesome time. One of the boat crew is actually studying marine biology so that was super helpful. They're very respectful of the whales while still giving the guests a real memory of the experience.

Amazing experience! Saw several humpback whales socializing that day. At one point we had 2 in front of our boat and 1 to the right. Our guide Cléa was the best. Answered questions, gave us fun facts, explained everything clearly. Highly recommend her. oh and we saw seals! Something to keep in mind though - these whale sightings happen so quickly so try not to waste too much time trying to get the perfect picture and just enjoy the experience.

Absolutely loved our whale watching tour! We saw porpoises, seals, sea lions and four orca whales! It was incredible and definitely worth the money. Our tour guide did a fantastic job educating us on the whales and their habitat.
The provided suits kept us very dry and warm. Overall, a great experience! The location is also convenient with a bakery and other food options just down the street.response / report this review -

We went for a whale watching tour on September 30th to celebrate my mother in law birthday.
We chose the open vessel, even though the weather was pretty unstable (rain and cold), but I don't regret it.
Ashley was our guide/naturalist and she is AMAZING. She loves what she does and is ready to share her knowledge with you.
Usually people spend about 1h with the whales, but we had the pleasure to watch them for 3 hours. Yes!!!
Richard (the captain) was always looking for the perfect location and making sure we could have a great view of them.

What was surprising about this trip was that I actually saw whales a lot more than (really, a LOT) I expected, although from a distance.
The ship rocks from time to time (can feel like you are on some kind of roller coaster sometimes. You just have to hold onto the handle for your dear life). So although that was fun, I don't recommend bringing baby or your little ones. And sometimes it speeds a lot, what they say "full-speed."
And the wind coming through the window is pretty strong and cold, so I recommend bringing some warm muffler and jumper. And hot water/coffee/tea.
This was exciting and fun trip. I saw seals and sea-lions and lots of seabirds too.
And islands and those white white seabirds too.
I can't forget what I felt when I first saw whale breathe, dived in, and come out again.
just seeing it breathe was a wonder.
and mind you this ship I was on do quite a chasing. And the engine sound is pretty noisy. so, if you want relaxing, slow boat trip, you might not like it.
People who work for this company, I found them kind overall. :)
so, no regret with this trip!
Ah, also, you can get pretty hungry, and the boat trip can get 6-7 hours even, so
be prepared.
I also liked exploring here and there and the guide always takes a round and
tells us where we are and where we are heading. It was chance to
have a look at all those different places of BC, even if we were off the land.
And the view was scenic and peaceful and beautiful! good getaway I think
if you are tired of crowded street with high rise buildings and pollution.

We were lucky enough that whales had already been spotted before we went out so we immediately went to see them first thing. We saw four of them in a pod and got some great photos. Definitely something to check out. Only thing I would say is prepared to get soaked! The way there we got really wet! Which isn't a huge deal but we were glad we packed something to clean our glasses and lens of our camera off or else it would have been tough to see anything.

I'm rating 3-stars for the following reason:
Even though the treatment is excellent, and the staff is very gently and nice at you, the redemption they have as an option in case you don't see any whales is strategically possible only if you either live around, or have a lot of money to come often to Vancouver if you are not even from Canada, which is my case. I think they should have an option for people who can't come very often but still wants to get the experience though. A 30 to 50 percent of refund would be fair enough in case you don't get to see any whales as that is the main purpose of the tour, and I am suggesting that amount because I know they have expenses to cover, but we are paying nearly $130 CAD each. Or at least give it a chance to choose between the "never-expires" voucher or the refund. Even a $50 CAD voucher gift could work out, that way you don't leave with empty hands.response / report this review -

Highly recommend this company for whale watching tours. They are professional, safety oriented and ecologically conscious. Our guide and boat captain were attentive to passengers and informative about both whales and the Vancouver area. Our first tour was cancelled due to high seas, Wild Whales notified us the day prior and rescheduled us easily.

This was the most amazing trip. Kathryn (the naturalist), and Robby (the skipper), led a wonderful day on the ocean. We saw seals, bald eagles, one humpback, and best of all, a big pod of Orcas. I can't recommend this company any more than to say if ever I have the opportunity to whale watch again, it will be with them. Thank you for the most wonderful day. I won't forget it anytime soon!

The name relates to the mode of transport if on the open boat and not the wildlife. 7hrs of very wild, rough and wet boat ride. Suits provided are for wind protection but are not water proof - so you will get soaked really soaked almost straight away.

I Revisited wild whales Vancouver 8 years ago and unfortunately did not get to see any whales. I received a voucher that never expired and got to use it on my most recent trip to Vancouver. The trip was wonderful we got to see two teenage orcas. We followed them for about 1 hour and 30 minutes which was excellent we even got to see one of them eat a seal as well as do a sky hop I think they call it. Their staff was excellent and their boats were clean and up-to-date.

We had a great time on our tour! Very friendly and professional office staff, captain, and naturalist. Very good value for money. I would highly recommend this company to those looking for a great day on the water. Not the mention the wildlife was spectacular: orcas, sea lions, porpoises, seals, bald eagle, cormorants, oyster catchers so great!

Excellent tour. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would maybe recommend ear plugs if you don't like the wind whistling past your ears but it is an open boat so it's kind of part of the fun.
