Cute modern interior, unbeatable lunch special, amazing well prepared rolls. Top places to get sushi.

Great sushi, very friendly and kind staff. I ordered for pickup and it was ready in 15 minutes and was fresh when I came to pick it up. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I do feel it is a little bit overpriced.

Just paid 190.00 for this,I find the sushi at sobeys is waaay better. For this amount of money you'd think the quality of this sushi would be better
They didn't even know how to make a dragon roll
    Not recommended

Slow service and there was only one other table. Then we paid and left, the server chased us down Osborne yelling, when we stopped she said she forgot ONE beer on the bill. We paid her again because we were in a rush and embarrassed because she made a scene on the street. We checked our bill later and found it was correct. Having been humiliated and ripped off we will never return. Having been a server I know if I screwed up a bill it's my loss.

It is conveniently located and also open late. Food is very tasty. A little bit more expensive then other sushi restaurants but worth it.

If you think it's impossible to get fresh and delicious sushi on the prairies, you've obviously never been to wasabi. They easily hold there own against some of the best sushi places I've been to in costal cities. Wasabi on Broadway is a particularly great sushi joint. Highly recommended.

Location on Osborne between River and Stradbrook(?). One waiter serving all guests and really turned over the tables, you even feel rushed even though the place is empty. Good tempura, agedashi, OK rolls and dessert is terrible. Don't buy the weird sesame balls, the banana needs the ice cream. A plus on the pressed tea tho

I ordered sushi from Wasabi Sushi Bistro via skip the dishes. Although I had heard amazing things about this restaurant, the (incredibly expensive) sushi we ordered was inedible and we ended up throwing a lot of the food out. The udon had absolutely no flavour and it tasted like the chicken was on the verge of turning; all the sushi and rolls tasted like oil, and the volcano roll was smothered in a disgusting sauce to the point where it seemed like there was more sauce than sushi. The picture below shows how much oil was used in the sauce--and this was described as "torched", which it clearly was not.
The restaurant was willing to offer us NO compensation whatsover. Suffice it to say, it was the worst culinary experience followed by deplorable customer service.

The first clue was that it was empty. This place was always full back in the day. So I used to go here a lot until I moved in 2010. It was awesome. As good as Vancouver's good sushi places. Well a lot has changed except the decor. Prices are up and quality is way, way down. I will not be going back. Even the green tea tastes badly over brewed, bitter and not fresh. Just one tip. You shouldn't tempura everything. I'd save go to the martini bar where you can have a good drink and order good sushi. This place is horrible at best.
