Underwhelming. I have heard so many great reviews about the Christmas Market, but it was much smaller than expected. Would make for a nice evening if you are planning to spend a lot of money on food and drinks.
Also, the pre-purchased ticket lineup was longer than the lineup for those purchasing tickets at the gate. But it went by quickly, so don't be discouraged by the massive line.

Found the Vancouver Christmas market very nice . Were there early in the day so it was quit Had lot of little craft stands but nothing caught My eye not that big was almost still had stalls for sellers there so capacity was not at 100% did like the cost to come in to get not much in return don’t think I go back next year but we will see. Do say they have lots of security at this event so was a safe place I felt.

It feels like you are in Germany. Wonderful food and very talented singers. So happy that is located at a bigger venue in Jack Poole Plaza. Some of the food prices are a little expensive.

Wonderful Christmas tradition to experience. So many tasty treats and great photo opportunities. You definitely want to wear boots if it's a rainy day. Worthwhile visit!

Our family (with a 3 year old) went in 2016, and we will not be returning. We had purchased a combo which included a carousel ride and gingerbread cookies. They were out of cookies and did not offer any partial refund, and the whole place was way too cramped and crowded. There were some nice crafts, but they were much more expensive than at a Christmas craft fair, and the food lineups were ridiculously long. The layout was not at all stroller-friendly, and we left after about half an hour. Although most festive events during the Christmas season are busy, this place was exceptionally so, and we will instead choose to attend one of the many other great events around the Lower Mainland.

Photo atop Grouse Mountain during the winter months. Beyond beauty.

A relatively new Vancouver Christmas tradition, this authentic German-style market might not be straight out of Bavaria but it's still an awesome way to spend some time during the holidays. With a myriad of food stalls, plenty of Glühwein and an assortment of local and German vendors, this yearly festival is fast becoming a Vancouver tradition.

There are lots of interesting things to eat here, and the handcrafted items they sell would look amazing in any home. But wow, everything is super expensive. I had some stew in a bread bowl, and it was like $12 after discount. My mushroom soup bowl was around $8. Both were very good, but they were kinda expensive for the portion size.

Going to this event has been part of my Christmas traditions since it first opened in QE theatre parking lot. This year was more organized than others. More crafts and food vendors than before. Food vendors had great variety while keeping things German (for the most part). Love the new heated tent with picnic tables for patrons to enjoy their food. This new location is great!

The staff is nice, the atmosphere and stuff is actually great. Love the ambience and the spirit. The security is very friendly and even give my daughter free carousel ride! The food stall is great especially hot chocolate and pork chock. Sadly some shop owner is not friendly. I spend almost 200$ for bunch of art craft, love it!

Very nice crafts and wonderful food. There are not as many vendors as I thought there was but the ones that were there were great. The glass Christmas ornaments were beautiful and the alpaca wraps were very nice. The man selling was very knowledgeable and the wife is enjoying her wrap very much. All kinds of food. Parking was a concern but we found it in the Shaw building right across the street. It's underground and the rates much better than the Fairmont or the other public parking
