Our first visit and we were so very impressed. Our dog swallowed a large bone and we took him here. The doctor talked to us for about 10 mins and since the advise was to wait and watch, she didn't charge us a dime! That was professional courtesy, genuine care and awesomeness all rolled into one!

Our experience with this animal hospital was wonderful from the beginning to the end. When we first called to talk about our cat's situation, we were treated wonderfully. When we arrived with our ill cat at the clinic, we were expected and greeted warmly. the veterinarian who treated our cat was concerned and compassionate throughout.

The doctors and technicians are amazing here. However, the receptionists make the experience so negative every time. Whenever I call to ask for a re-fill or an update, I get the vibe that they feel like I am wasting their time. It seems that they don't want to be bothered most of the time. They are not friendly, and sometimes even rude - I feel like I am treated poorly because they know that I have no choice but to come to this vet. If I had a choice, I would not come to this vet at all. I have been going to this vet for few weeks and its very rare that I talk to a friendly receptionist. I have never written a review in my life, but because I have been dealing with them for few weeks, and it upsets me every time I call or walk in, I decided to leave this review in hopes that the management can help rectify this kind of experience moving forward.

Thank you to all the staff for taking care of our dog Jaxx last night. He has been there many times due to his ongoing health issues and has always been well cared for. The service here is wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you again for taking care of our sweet little boy.

My dog ended up here as an emergency patient due to foreign body ingestion, and she was quite sick at the time of intake. THEV promptly took her into their care and thoroughly went over what was to be expected in the coming hours. Once my dog was stable and ready for surgery, they were very prompt and professional in delivering our updates on her current state. I always felt like my dog was in great hands there, and will use them as our primary emergency care in the future. My dog's three night stay was of course very expensive, but for the level of care and expertise at this hospital, it was a small price to pay to be able to save my dog.

The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. My family and I had brought our dog who passed away two years ago here for his cancer diagnosis and treatment and I must say, Dr. Stojanovic and his team were great. We really did feel that our dog was in great hands during his treatment. The only downside is that their services are a little more on the expensive side.

We brought our cat Max in Sunday morning. He was extremely ill and was seen by the veterinary staff right away. After a short wait, Dr. Norm Nasser, sat down with us and discussed in detail, Max's medical history and the possible causes, treatment, and prognosis. After much heartache, we opted for euthanasia. The staff took us to a quiet, more comfortable room, were we could hold him and say goodbye.
It was done painlessly, peacefully ,and as much compassion as possible. We could not have been treated any better or more kindly by all of the staff/receptionists, but mostly by Dr. Norm Nasser.
This is a man who is the epitome of how a veterinarian should be.

    Thank you once again.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! If I listened to the advice of this vet my dog would have had to have a $10k surgery or be euthanized. I was told my dog was gravely I'll and needed to stay at the hospital. All based on one X-ray. I took him home and decided to get a second opinion. Took my dog to the Ajax North Pet Hospital where the doctor properly diagnosed my dog and provided him the right treatment. He is on the road to recovery no thanks to this hospital who actually mentioned euthanasia as an option!! This vet played on my vulnerability and love for my dog. Made me think he was close to death and needed to spend thousands of dollars. Would not recommend going here if you love your pet

By far one the best experience that i have ever had in a hospital for humans or animals. The facility was clean, staff were efficient and friendly. The veterinarian's were very thorough, giving a head to toe assessment and findings. Addressed all my concerns, explored with me treatment options and plan of care going forwards. Also, i really liked having a written discharge instructions. Thank you!

I didn't know it was here, good spot for an animal hospital. Good service. They have facial tissue.

The receptionists and all the other girls at the front are really amazing, and make you feel right at home while you wait, pay, or are there for drop off. The experience we had with our golden retriever was amazing, besides the stress and anxiety he normally would have. They were gentle and patient with him, allowing him to walk into the office at his own pace (he hates leaving his mummy) and practically ran with him when he raced up to meet her at pick up! That said, the chemo treatments didn't take. We went through four rounds before starting a different treatment plan. (One every three weeks) At our latest appointment, on Wednesday February 8th, 2017, routine blood work was done before treatment started, as per the usual. My understanding was that if there was anything wrong with his blood work, such as anemia or organ failure, I would be notified and together, my vet and I would decide on the next plan of action. Apparently, I was wrong. Instead of being notified when his liver showed up as having signs of failure (the liver is an extremely important organ for chemo - it filters the toxins in and out of the body) the vet's at the office didn't notify me about it until AFTER his chemo treatment was done. Had I been made aware of the fact that his liver was failing BEFORE, I wouldn't have put him through a treatment that his liver wouldn't be able to process. Instead of my doggy - who was only seven years old - living for the extra month I could have had, giving me time to accumulate some money to put him down as we were tapped out with the 12 000 we'd already spent on him, he suffered, and died in my arms at 4:00 am this morning - one week after the treatment that most likely killed his liver. I regret not starting natural remedies from the start - as when we had him on them he did great, yet after each treatment he looked worse. By this week, his cancer wasn't the problem anymore - it was stagnant - his liver was the problem. And by giving him the treatment without consulting with me before hand, the vet's at the Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital successfully sent my dog to an early grave by killing his liver with the last treatment. No one is going to not go to this vet because of one review, but I really do push you to go over every fine detail about your pet's treatment. What happened to my dog is sad, I am angry, and disappointed that I spent 12 000 dollars to have my puppy die in my arms, but if some other child or person's pet, their best friend, can be saved from me posting this, my purpose is fulfilled. Tell your vet you want to be in charge of the course of action that is taken if ANYTHING changes in their blood work, especially something like this. I don't believe they had malicious intentions - how could they? Everyone who met the pooch loved him and marveled at his beauty. But the last treatment killed his liver, which in turn killed him. Be more involved with your pet's treatment than you are your children's lives - you love them just as much, yet a vet is so much more likely to play on your love for your pet for their financial gain than someone playing on your love for a child. He is gone, and nothing can be done about it now, but the one who made the call about the procedure gave me less time with my baby - and I will never not be able to be angry that it happened, never be able to stay quiet about it and not let his story get told to potentially save another dog.

We'd like to thank the hospital from the bottom of our hearts for all the kind care we received towards our baby poodle, Kody. We are so grateful to have walked into the emergency hospital with only questions/concerns while our pet was in another clinic struggling with a problem for almost a week. We want to thank Julie at the front for being super patient, caring and understanding of our situation and honestly giving us great advice to bring our pet into the hospital right away. If not for that great advice, things could have very well gone wrong for us. Right from the minute, we stepped in all the way through with meeting Dr. Norman and Dr. Jessica, it was an amazing experience. They were very professional, caring, detailed, and did not leave any stones unturned in our case. It made us feel so much more relieved that our baby is in the best possible hands and even made follow up appointments as well. The care we received was well worth the money we spent, they made sure to do only the required tests and nothing extra. They went over all the courses of action and recommendations including prices to make sure we were comfortable and getting the best care for our baby. We are very grateful and appreciative, thank you!

I took my sweet 7 week old kitten Ace here when he suddenly became lethargic. The first visit in 48 hours I was with Tanya I believe, she was a very kind vet who tried too look at all options available for our baby. Unfortunately the virus Ace had progressed and we returned. The second vet was a male and I do not remember his name. He ran some more tests and conducted himself in such a caring manner just as Tanya did. Later that day my baby was losing his ability to walk and when I called to speak with Tanya she had returned my call promptly and spoke of all our options. In the end I couldn't handle to have him live the poor quality of life. The doctor was so empathetic and said all the right things. The vet techs were also so compassionate and caring. I miss my baby so much and if it weren't for the staff at TVEH I would have had a much worse time. They don't charge you for unnecessary tests and hospital stays and has your finances in mind when offering treatment and payments. They remain honest about their work throughout, above all they are passionate about their jobs and treat animals and their owners with love and respect.

Thank you to all the staff, especially Tanya and I think micheal was his name. Also to the vet tech who was there for us when we said goodbye to baby ace ❤
