I run mid scale renovation company servicing Aurora, Stouffville and Newmarket. Our company is the major installer and renovator for 11 big box stores. We've never had a good relationship with tilemaster. They were just plain rude to myself, my employees and my clients. The employees act that every simple task is a massive chore and even the management is very unhelpful. It's clear they have no wish to grow their business by partnering or offering contractor discounts. We will continue to make the trip to Olympia for now on.

Tile Giant and Tilemaster are my go to locations. Their prices are extremely good compared to other tile stores. Tip: If you're returning extra tiles, make sure you have a full box!

Best ever tile company in our area! My wife and I have done several properties using product supplied from Tilemaster.
Their sales staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and have always been available to help pick colours or discuss installation. For sure the store is busy which is likely an indication of quality. I often hear people in line talking to staff about past projects from years ago and coming back now for their next job.
At our current house, we've done the lower floor hallway, bathroom and kitchen floor through Tilemaster in addition to the kitchen backsplash, lower floor bathroom backsplash and both upstairs bathrooms through Tilemaster as well.
We also elected for heated floor mats in both upstairs bathrooms (100% worth EVERY penny) and worth the upgrade.
In our master bathroom, we used all the Schluter wall-film, corner pads, sub-floor, etc. and it was truly very easy to deal with, especially for the present shower flooring grade.
We bought our grout & mortar from tile-master as well which made the entire process simple, can't remember the brand by it all worked really well when following instructions (personal tip - mix smaller batches for best results. I got overzealous in the mudroom flooring and had to redo a few tiles in the corner because I tried to extend the bucket of mix I hadFrustrating but lesson learned). We picked up the material ourselves and did the installation ourselves as well. Pickup was easy as the staff handled almost everything.
Overall the projects look awesome and we're super happy with the results and look even 4-5 years later!
The value of professional advice throughout our projects proved exceptionally handy seeing as we were certainly back and forth a few times over the years with each job.

Try: Zero customer service. I looked up "tiles" in Aurora/Newmarket and found myself here. Before shlepping all the way down there I pick up the phone, 20 rings - no voicemail, no person, dead air.
I see the first review below mine, complaining about lack of customer attention - and a response from management about how seriously they take this (with a number and extension to call directly!) so I dial that? No answer, a switch to voicemail, and a disconnect.

My go to tile store. They always have very modern high quality options at a reasonable price. Tilemaster only carries reputable installation media which makes diy installs looking great and will last a lot longer. Best price on ditra in town and the grout they stock kiessel is like night and day when comparing to other grouts in terms of ease of use and longevity. Go here is you are a serious diyer as they will get you set up with the right products to do a professional job.

Tilemaster is a pleasure to visit. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Every question I have gets answered, and they always confirm details if they are unsure.
John is exceptional with tools, tiles, and substrate materials such as schluter. I trust his recommendations every time.
