One star reduction for the price increase. I recommend not planning to stay because there is usually no seats. Staff are kind and welcoming. Treats are delightful and nicely presented

I've withdrawn one star because of the prices that are quite high, and the location itself that doesn't provide enough seats for the crowds that line up here. But other than that, everything here has a taste of paradise. Hot chocolate: delicious. Black forest: succulent. I could go on and on and on!

Very refined and well made desserts. Recently shared few things to try: the eclair, the millefeuille and a tart. You can taste the quality when you feel the textures are so smooth and not grainy. I can't give them 5 stars because I love my lattes and I don't love theirs :(. Can get busy throughout lunch, evening and weekends so seating can be hard to find and or cramped but it's fun and gives you a European feel. Definitely worth it.

Our favorite dessert place to meet friends or take and out of town visitors. Their desserts are always fresh. Do try the Basque liquid chocolate. Delicious with a hint of paprika in the end. The ambience is great and I love that their open so late.

The service used to be good here but the last two times I came it was extremely disappointing. I went in on a super busy day and the service was extremely slow and inefficient. But that's okay because it was busy, I patiently waited to order and to get my cake. The second time I was the only person in line, I ordered a croissant heated to go, not only was the cashier not paying attention to my order because she was busy chatting with her coworkers, she had forgot my order completely after I paid for it. I waited for 10 minutes before she looked up after chatting with her coworker and asked me what I was waiting for. She then realized she had forgotten my order. I waited for another 5 minutes for her to heat it IMO, employees should be trained to be more professional and attentive, especially at a boutique/high end dessert shop.

Cute place and convenient location. Macarons aren't bad but wouldn't say they were great. Slightly too chewy almost brownie consistency when I went. Drinks and croissant were great though.

Ive been here over a dozen times. The food products are amazing but the experience with customer service could be much better. It's a hit or miss with the staff but the chocolates make up for the lack of a good visit.

Right in down town Vancouver with good patisserie. I also love meeting my friends here as they have a nice patio and you can enjoy open air and street-watching anytime of the year. just quality vs price, thierry cafe is expensive compared to similar cafes.

I love the concept of this chocolate store. I feel myself gaining weight just walking in. Coffee is nice, pastries pretty good, and ambiance is great. Staff have always been fairly pleasant to very friendly, even on crowded/busy days. I like the outdoor area out front, but wish it wasn't located on a side street with a ton of traffic. Would be great if there were a rear patio, but hey, I'm quibbling over nothing. Prices are what you expect of downtown. Haven't tried any of the alcoholic drinks, but my friend seemed to like whatever he had last weekend. Give this place a go.

Been to Thierry quite a few times. The selection of macaroons are good I wish they had more fruit flavours not just odd matcha types. However the blueberry and raspberry are absolutely amazing. The chocolate tart is so impressive just they only seem to have it on weekends. I found some of the desserts a little too sophisticated. The danishes and other pastries are very good, same with the fruit jellies!

Right in down town Vancouver, Thierry has one of the best patisseries in the town. I also love meeting my friends here as they have a nice patio and you can enjoy open air and street-watching anytime of the year.

A huge selection of sweet treat and of drinks. The white peach homemade soda was delicious. We also had the tiramisu (amazing), a fruit tart and macarons. Everything was great. A bit small and crowded but we could sit and it shows how good it is!

Get the liquid chocolate. It's not just like a simple hot cocoa or any watered down chocolate. Its thick and rich. Really does taste like high quality chocolate. That was a pretty unique treat. Tried a chocolate cake too, but that one didn't stand out.

Amazing place to get deserts and coffee. Love the atmosphere although it can get a bit too busy when you have to hunt for the space to sit and enjoy the feast. Parking around this place is a challenge sometimes but it is worth visiting and eating here. Highly recommend.

Thierry is one of the rare good cafes in Vancouver which is open till late during the weekends. It also has a nice outdoor (heated) patio for those chilly nights. And for some reason, we always spot really fancy cars parked across the street for Kobe.

Having said that, only some things at Thierry are worthwhile. The liquid chocolate (not hot chocolate), the tiramisu (this is very good). And the hot chocolate specials they have during the hot chocolate festival.
