Everything was fresh and hand made. Lots of different options including gluten friendly. Three different types of salsa! Service was a touch slow and meal portions were smaller then what we would of liked . Overall tasty and definitely swing by for a visit next time you're in downtown Revelstoke.

Had the fish burrito, chicken burrito, and chips&salsa. We enjoyed all of the food and the portions are great for the price. Chips and salsa came with 4 different salsas. The house made hot sauce is tasty and has lots of heat. The kids menu is pretty small, but the items on the regular menu would suit a child as well.

Walked in here with high hopes after reading all the great reviews but unfortunately I can't say I had the same experience. At first glance everything seemed fine, we were seated right away and our server seemed friendly. We were then asked for drinks and we politely declined. For some reason after that the server returned twice more trying to push us to change our mind. We then ordered salsa and chips to eat while we wait because the waitress Informed us it would take a while for the food. When they arrived the chips were layered with salt and there was only a minimal amount of salsa (one shot glass worth). Obviously that was not enough so we asked to get some more, which ended up being an additional charge of two dollars (for that same shot glass size). The food itself, for lack of a better word, was confusing. I got the wet burrito, which on a side note cost an additional five dollars on top of the fourteen dollars for a regular burrito. In the burrito they had cabbage instead of lettuce which didn't sit that well with the other flavours. The wet burrito sauce was a bit off putting as it was burnt to the plate and the burrito. The sauce also had a resemblance to BBQ sauce, making it confusing to my mouth. After all that the server still pushed a couple times for us to order more things, e.i dessert.
Overall it wasn't all bad, hence the two stars but the service was way too pushy and the food was expensive and confusing at best.response / report this review -

What a place! I always loved the food truck this place was before they got s location, but I think their even better now! Massive portions and delicious food, I strongly recommend you check this place out!

Not joining this club.THE RESPONSE
Well allow me to retort to anonymous owner's critique of my critique as posted on another well known review website.
I am a reviewer, not a writer nor wishing to be, nor am I wishing to be an internet celebrity (your words). I choose to express a truthful summary of my experience. I have no agenda other than to call it how I experience it, save your conspiracy theories for your own delusions. I also choose to use metaphor for description not for my own amusement. Obviously you read with great interest.so thanks for taking the time to reply!
I never stated being slow on Sunday was good or bad, you concluded it inferred bad, so as you being the owner I guess it's bad.
As for the lighting, my concern was if you don't care enough to check the lights before you open then maybe I should have concerns about the care in food preparation. Same goes for the decor (excluding the mural). You speak of kitsch and exploitation when assuming my decor preferences, but can't see it in your own restaurantjust sad.lose the paper decorations and sombreros and put the same passion into all menu items consistently like the passion in your reply to me and Taco Club will be fine.
Like I said, I call it like I see, taste and experience it. The restaurant was half well lit, half dark. As for the bathroom, two fixtures one bulb by choice you say. In case you are unaware bulbs do come in different intensities and why not replace fixtures you admit are not suitable? You ask me to investigate for accuracy or be helpful to point out minor inconveniences but why are you asking me to do your job? It's unfortunate the mural wasn't more of a centre piece or more walls decorated with this art but I wasn't at an art gallery so I reserved going on about the mural. Your a restaurant right?
Did I "lose it"? Hardly, I was able to look past some signs and stuck it out open minded anticipating great food. If the food is great I can overlook my own biases.
Back to the foodand again only tried the appetizers so maybe you excel at entrées.
Thanks for clarifying that you make your chips in-house in the morning. Had I known this I would rate
them terrible instead of poor. I did not like them at all. This is MY opinion and maybe you need to be more secure in your 180 positive reviews and not not so upset by mine. I however will relay my experience as experienced. Also, can the chips not be made fresh when ordered?
Yes I ASSUMED the salsas were from jars because in my opinion they lacked freshness but now that you have confirmed you make it in-house I'm even more shocked that somehow you've managed to make fresh ingredients not taste well fresh.
The corn fiasco
As if I hadn't heard enough excuses in your reply alreadycan't afford or can't get fresh ingredients? yet you continue to serve it? I'm embarrassed for you.
Relish - look it up, if I were to call salsa ketchup it doesn’t make it ketchup.
I think the saddest thing of all is that if you were to read back over your reply it likely does more to turn potential customers away than actually show any ability to demonstrate grace and accountability. I was even willing to chalk up my experience as an isolated incident and try Taco Club again but the only thing worse than the chips we tried is your true colors.
Focus on your positive reviews but don't expect me to be satisfied with excuses to change my personal lived experience.
Kudos on moving from a food truck to a restaurant as this is a big step and not an easy one and I always appreciate any service that takes the time to reply to reviews, wishing you future success and more positive reviews.response / report this review -

You might need to wait for a table. Do wait though. Amazing chicken burrito and very friendly service. Friends all enjoyed their food too. Well worth a visit on Taco Tuesdays although I'd go here any day of the week.

I wish I could give a higher ratingEspecially since we heard a lot of good things about this place. The overall experience was unfortunately poor. I'm not sure if the cooks were short staffed but food took a very long time to come out. We do not usually complain but when the food came out different from what we ordered .. Its hard not to. The waitress at the end, when she had more time, was very social and easy going. She apologized on behalf of the cooks but the cookies did not replace the incorrect foods. The cooking staff explained they gave our food to another table by accident and would not be able to remake our order. The plus side of things Portion sizes are great.

Glad we decided to take a quick look around town during our overnight stop-over in town. Did not expect to find such a great place. Ginger beer Margarita was awesome, burrito the size of your head! Taco prices were a bit steep and I wasn't blown away but you see the love put into the recipes. I'd try an enchilada next time.
