  Well, we are not even through one event and already recruiting for the next two. Almost 8,000 bike parked this summer with 300 volunteer hours🤗🚴‍♀️

  But one of the big barriers for a lot of people new to bike commuting is what to do once you actually arrive at work. How do you transition from your bike ride to a full day at the office? Won’t you be gross and sweaty? How do you carry everything you need? What do you need?

  The Bike Valet has been asked to be a part of the Nutrien Fireworks Festival starting August 31. The goal with each valet is to help to reduce traffic and parking congestion and encourage Active Transportation use in Saskatoon. Of course the service depends on our volunteer labour for the grunt work (hauling equipment to and from), event set up and tear down, and of course the actual valet service itself. If you can give two hours of your time during the Fireworks Festival, we would appreciate it.

  Plus come showtime, you will have one of the best seats in the house.

  We’ve been smoked out. The Fringe has come to an early end, due to extreme smoke, so our Bile Valet is also closing—we will not be accepting any additional bikes tonight.

  As the Fringe wraps up, we are looking to fill our last Bike Valet shifts and hope you can help––even better bring a friend and then take in a show (for free because you volunteered).

  The reason we are always looking to fill shifts for the Bike Valet is because it runs on volunteer power.
