Love this bakery, especially their donuts. I always end up buying more than I come in for. Busy, but efficient and lots of selection. Prepare to be amazed. The prices are great too!
Honestly, you're not going to bother reading the review because we know its the best bakery in Toronto. Stop fooling yourself and go in. Try anything. Like it. Try something else. Repeat. Its as easy as that. Go enjoy, you'll really like it.
A bit of an icon.
Great donuts, really terrific donuts. Old school sandwiches prepared on fresh bread of different varieties.
Hot table with pasta, meat dishes. Loads of good stuff and comfortable seating.
San Remo is a destination and is settled into the middle of a group of nice shops
Ample street parking. Old world New York Italian feel.
I love coming to this place. The quality and selection are amazing! They have a variety of options from cold cuts, fresh bread, hot sandwiches, and desserts. The desserts at Sanremo are a must try - especially their apple fritter donut. The staff here are also amazing, very patient, polite, and helpful. I would recommend coming early because it is a popular place.
It was my first time there. I got there late I guess, around 6pm so not much selection left, was so excited to see the donuts but there were none :( I'll have to go earlier one day if possible. Had the veal sandwich which was the best I've ever had and a pastry that was also excellent. No complaints whatsoever. If only it was open just an hour later till 8pm, that would be awesome!
Amazing bakery Fresh bread. They have a rotating menu of exotic baked goods so you get so much variety. Off course, the usual fresh croissants and breads are always there (mind you never gone there late in the day). Love their cheesecakes (that actually has creamcheese) and the English muffins and the croissants are just way way too good.
The products here are always tasty and fresh. Never been disappointed. It can get very busy early in the morning and the evenings. The donuts are simply irresistible! Definitely worth several visits
Nice place, reasonable prices. It's typically quite busy, so expect a bit of a line, definitely worth the wait though. The place is somewhat small, but clean and well-organized. The food itself is delicious, especially the donuts.
The bun on which they make their hot sandwiches is the best bread you can get in Toronto, in my opinion. As good as the baguettes you get in Paris. Crispy crust, not thick and tough, and the crumb is white, tender and delicious. Buy a few to take home.
Everything about this place is outstanding, flavour, portions, price. I've been going there more than 20 years, and never once been even a tiny bit disappointed.
Incredibly busy bakery that offers more than just baked treats. A neat place to have breakfast or lunch while soaking up the incredible atmosphere. Their specialty are the gourmet donuts, but you will have a hard time not walking out with at least 3 or 4 other different sweet treasures.
Remarkable selection, incredible quality. Turkey sandwich is simply perfect - a pound of meat sandwiched with crispy onions and the best foccacia that I've ever had. The roast beef is set up just as brilliantly. And the price! More than affordable for the amount of food you get. Only downside is the curt service, but they are efficient for a really busy business.
Owners are lovely. All staff are helpful. I have been coming to this bakery since I was a child. I have seen the bakery expand so much never loosing it's personal touch and excellent quality. Everything here is delicious. Just get in early as things sell out fast!
Great bakery. All kinds of selections. Hot table, sandwiches, pizza, baked goods and fantastic espresso! Super busy so be prepared to wait a little. Well worth it.
Parking is tough as well. Side streets are available and the walk will ensure you build an appetite for all the yummy treats!
Best bakery ever. They have everything you need in one place. Staff are amazing. Food is amazing. I've never had a bad experience. I've never tried something I didn't like. Their donuts are out of this world. Well worth the drive.
