Good, fresh, quality baked goods, & hot table. Interesting pantry items available. My go-to for pot-luck desserts. I always grab a carrot cake & it's always a hit!
Not to mention the staff are friendly, patient, & more than helpful. Just lovely people!

It's an institution. And once upon a time it was the go-to for great Bagels and challah. But the prices are a bit higher than average and parking is egregiously difficult. No fresh cream cheese and a parsimonious offering of cheeses.

Great!I usually bake for a hobby. Here doesn't look fancy and there is no place to sit and eat. So I took a pastry and almond cookies for a brief breakfast without any expectation, but I could know that the baker here is really good at baking. I wanna try other things more:)

Love the cheese crepes. Get there early, they sells out fast.
The cookies are very good as well.
Large selections of cakes, pastries, and breads.
Also serves salads and hot food, will have to give them a try one of these days.

Amazing bakery with fresh salads and lots of other things. Have been shopping here for about 15 years. If you really want something, it is best to call ahead and order it. My favourite things here are the cheese croissants and the cheese sticks.

LOVE 😘 their cheese crepes. Make sure you get there early, usually gone by afternoon.

Pastries and cookies are great too.

Also have a good selections of hot food, soups, salads and sandwiches, will have to give them a try one of these days.

Awesome bakery! A lot of jewish specialities well done by a very friendly staff from the Philippines. Definitely try the Challah or cheese danish.

I absolutely love their daily soups (made from scratch, wholesome which can be a meal on their own), their delicate quiches (especially the spinach, but also the other vegetable one), their lemon meringue pie. Their carrot cakes with cream cheese topping and cheesecakes are also lovely, although I wish they'd top their cheesecakes with fresh fruit (they don't somehow). Some of the other cakes I tried were disappointing and not worth it, surprisingly. I don't much care for their granola either, though I believe it's made from scratch too. Their new beet borscht bottled beverage which they developed in honor of their 70th anniversary is very tasty (tastes wholesome and healthy) and unique. Their breads are good, although I prefer and mostly buy Ace Bakery bread, but I love Harbord Bakery's rye bread with extra caraway seeds. One gets the feeling soon after walking into Harbord Bakery that it's a business that the owners run themselves with integrity and pride, and with a strong sense of connection to the community that their family have been serving for over seven decades now.
