Great drink and food selections. Had some awesome vibes downstairs with the live band and upstairs felt more refined with a great ambiance. Really enjoyed this place.
Horrible experience. This evening I went to have dinner with my boyfriend. Asked to be seated , and they said sit wherever u want. I asked for menus , took 5 minutes to hand me a menu. We seated ourselves. Looked over the menu. Went up to the bar - we were asked to order at the bar .tried to get the attention of the bartender and he continued to pass me 3 timesI went back to my bar stool and grabbed my jacket and left.
Horrible customer service !!!!
Sat in the basement bar for a few pitchers while waiting for a train from Union, a larger space which was surprisingly uncrowded for a Friday night which was really nice, quick service and good prices. Also a really cool vibe. Had a good time!
The food was very yummy and the beer was great too. Tried multiple of the craft brews from their large menu and loved every one. Good service and lively atmosphere
Nice cozy place downstairs. Got that all wooded rustic cabin feel. Good long bar tables for big groups. Place can be a little too dark in far corners but if your looking for small group privacy, go there. No waitress on the floor when we went. Had to order food at the bar but they delivered it to our table.
Great place for a few drinks after work or before a Jays game. Food is good - better than "pub food". Clean place with loud music and wood tables. All you need for a few drinks!
When I made reservations I didn't know I was making reservations for the toilet, because that's where I spent most of my time. Don't get the "sweet potato thing" it was a massive hunk of grease. The manager told me it was only 1200 calories, which is a blatant lie.. I'm not picky about my calories but I just wanted to know the sheer magnitude of heart disease that was on my plate. Service was fine, toilet paper could've been a better ply.
This is a cool restaurant. Decor is fun, industrial with different focuses in different areas. There's a wall of old rotary phones, the ladies room is covered in vintage lit vanity mirrors, the tables are heavy timber on pipes or even old radiators. Our server was friendly, food was good. We especially loved being seated in front where instead of windows the entire wall rolls up garage door style for an open air vibe from the second floor. The bar was huge so I could definitely see coming here just for drinks, and there was another portion downstairs as well? Fun place, fair prices, seemed popular with travelers, good location.
Our server was fantastic. Knowledgeable about the beers. Quick to correct an error in our order, appreciated her customer service. Classic burger was pretty bland, my kids lived their chicken nuggets and quesadilla.
Asked if we could have a sample of a 5 paddles craft beer, which took them 20 minutes to bring. After we ordered a pitcher, they then told us they just ran out so we had to get something else.
Also ordered the bacon cheeseburger mac n cheese which tasted disgusting. It came with a slice of processed cheese on top, and ketchup.
Also ordered the nachos though which were pretty good.
Very convenient if you are going to the raps/jays/leafs game. Service was quick and there is a large election of beer. Quite a large venue for big parties if needed. Food is average like any other general bar.
I took a friend to lunch at Loose Moose today around 12:30pm. It wasn't too busy and our server was friendly. My friend and I ordered the same meal - fish tacos. The slaw that goes with this meal is really tasty. That's about it for the good stuff for this review. Read on
I was enjoying the meal until I looked down at my last taco and saw a long, curly piece of hair across my haddock and on top of the sauce like it was garnish. Immediately informed our server who promptly got another one made for me. Here's the problem: the replacement fish taco was mostly batter and barely any fish; and it was brought out to me in less than a minute. You can tell because the presentation was laughable. I understand that mistakes happen - hair gets on food, wrong order is brought out, etc. - but what I don't understand is the lack of customer service in these types of establishments.
I got the bill and they didn't give us any kind of discount for the mishap. Even though our server was friendly, she didn't do anything about the situation to make me want to come back other than drop off a sorry excuse for a replacement. I have received better customer service at a Swiss Chalet during busy hours (server informs manager of situation, manager apologizes and offers some kind of compensation, I leave happy despite the kitchen error). NOT AT LOOSE MOOSE! You can't even tell who the manager is in that place
We waited for our server to come back after dropping off my change when I noticed there was nothing done for my bill; but she disappeared and I needed to rush back to work. I didn't have time to wait for my server and then wait for my bill to be fixed - assuming they would actually fix it. Do you have any idea how much competition you have in this area, Loose Moose? Anyway, I still tipped our server generously for her service (I was a server/bartender too - tips are our bread and butter); but management and kitchen staff need to step their game up if they want to retain customers and have those customers spread the word to dine in with Loose Moose. This was my first time visiting Loose Moose, and definitely my last. I'll be sharing my experience with my peers in the financial industry and direct them to spend their hard-earned dollars in restaurants that actually make you feel like a valued guest.
Great craft beer selection. All locally brewed in Ontario. Small but very delicious menu varying in all kinds of food. Seating arrangement downstairs is a communal arrangement, which is actually pretty cool. Great place great food can't go wrong
Decent place for a drink, not so much the food.
Good place to come before or after taking Viarail (as I did).
Young, fun, relaxed atmosphere. Great for loud conversations and laughs with friends.
Great selection of beers!
Had some fried pickles and pork pieces, my friend had the Guacamole also. Both dishes were way overpriced! Especially the pickles and pork. Half a pickle and half a dozen popcorn sized pieces of pork deep fried, should not cost $11.
Service was average. Our waitress seemed to be having a bad day, seemed annoyed or tired, poor her. 😕
Got our inner Canadian out in the Antler Room. Great variety of craft beer. The menu options are delicious and you can expect a very welcoming atmosphere here. Staff here are absolutely grand! Highly recommend this spot for a social beer with live music. Definitely will be coming here more often.
