Slow and terrible service. Charges you bar rail prices for asking for ice on a double. Would not recommend, unless you have no other options.
Turned up after work on a Thursday. Plenty empty tables, but all reserved for people who hadn’t turned up yet. So would recommend booking ahead.
Maybe it’s because I’m from the UK, but I don’t like people reserving tables in public houses. Annoying to be refused one for someone who isn’t event there.
Had good prices.
Despite the name, it didn’t seem like an Irish bar.
First time here. Sat here for 10 minutes watching our server, Rainbow Bright, talk with the staff and not take our drink order. 2 idle staff members and no one to take our order. Won’t be returning.
Rude server. Slow service. the table next to us arrived 10min after us and received water right away and drinks (different server). the place was near empty but our waiter never brought water and drinks took over 20 min. Table next to us finished theirs before we got ours. We ordered the $5 Caesars (2 rounds) even though they weren't very good (hot day, thirsty). Had to ask our server twice if our order was on its way. He never asked if we would like water or if we would like more drinks when our first round was done - we had to flag him down and he started to walk away before everyone had put in their drink order. Then a different waiter brought the bill. The first waiter knew we were not impressed and sent the much better server our way to settle the bill I guess. They charged us double price for the Caesars. Don't appreciate that oversight - with the arrogance of our original server I feel as though that error was deliberate. Never going back.
Green curry was amazing. Fish tacos not so much. Cool decor, very cozy and kind staff
Rudest bartender I've ever met. Went for 1 drink after work and he ignored my friends and I for 20 minutes (in an empty bar) and then forgot to bring half our drinks. Also didn't remember our bill and left us sitting there for another 20. Good food but not worth it if he is working. I am a server myself so I know proper service and how to treat patrons. Friends and I will not be returning for after work dining/ drinks
Good selection of brunch food and staff is nice friendly. I left out a star 🌟 because my mug wasn't clean. I literally scrapped off some food particles and then i had to ask the server to get me a new mug. It was very gross. However, the salad was really good. Maybe i will just go there for the salad.
Some of these reviews must be from the old bar! The upgrade has been really great, the food and service here is awesome. A nice spot to stop in and have a bite and a beer. The tap list is impressive and prices are pretty fair for this neighborhood.
Reliable with a nice patio and takes reservations. Food is good, on the pricier side but in line with the location. The open tuna sandwich is nice and has real tuna steaks. The wasabi mayo could use a little more kick and the tuna was on the saltier side. It is a nice "work lunch" or after work drinks option for the area.
I gave this a one-star earlier. But since the reno the place isn't so bad. Changing my review to 4 stars. The beer selection was alright and the I've only had the fries recently and they were pretty good albeit being very much on the salty side. I'd hope that the rest of the menu and quality of food has improved but I wouldn't know
Renovated and so much nicer for it. Pogue's used to be pretty dark and dreary but not anymore. The addition of a shuffleboard table was an excellent decision. The drinks selection is vastly improved with $5 daily specials after 5pm to boot.
