We have been here at Sandcastle Inn fot the last four days, have enjoyed the inn and the quietness.
The continental breakfasts are great Quite a good selection from two different breads for toast, cereal, yogurt, bananas a nd apples. Also orange juice, coffee or tea.
There's a breakfast room where you can enjoy your meal.
The two people who run the innare very obliging.They helped me with tablet and made it easy touse the internet.
Lastly the price was very reasonable.
We would definetly recommend this inn to any of our friends and will stay here again

Nice little inn for short getaways when visiting Parksville. Right across from 'Paradise Mini Golf and Fun Park' and it is only a block away from the beach.
Free breakfast and WiFi is a bonus!

Not a horrible hotel, but definitely better places to stay. Old rooms. Old beds. Half the lights in the bathroom fixture were out, stained carpets.

The rooms were fine, the beds were comfortable, the room came with a refrigerator, a microwave, AC, coffee maker, and even a stove and some pans. But while they give you all these cooking tools, they don't give you a knife.

The presentation was quite lackluster. The rooms had some out of fashion paint and ceiling wallpaper, the furniture didn't match, and the lobby was generally unclean. There are tons of small nitpicks that add up to a generally poor presentation. For example, most the signs around the inn were printed pieces of paper, where I'd expect at least some plastic signs. The walls were a mediocre color, and they were quite narrow (which I understand isn't really a valid complaint considering the size of the building). The eating area is also boring, and poorly presented. There are two rooms, the first is nearly empty, with two tables with some food and plates placed, and was otherwise empty. It connected to a room with small tables where you could sit down to eat.

Service was alright. The pricing of the room was way too high for what they offer, especially considering there's a hotel across the street with better presentation and service at a lower price.

They make you pay extra for breakfast if there's more than 2 people to feed, and they're expensive. And the breakfast they provide is extremely limited, they serve almost nothing there, cereal, coffee, bread, muffins, and possibly one or two small things I'm forgetting.

I'm making this sound worse than it is. The hotel is in a nice location, and the rooms, while a bit small, were comfortable, and had lots of nice features. The wifi was fast, and the washroom was nice. My biggest real complaint is the pricing. It's way too expensive for the service that they offer. I make these complaints because the price they asked for was something I'd pay for a nice 3-star hotel, and so I expected presentation and service to match that price, but the inn didn't meet those expectations. I'd suggest that they either lower the price to better match the kind of service that they provide, or they up their presentation and service to better meet the expectations that their price suggests.

Very good for the price. Free Wi-Fi and an actual breakfast do wonders. My only complaint is the lack of sound proofing. I was listening to people dig through the icebox at 12am instead of sleeping.

Perfectly fine place to stay. Clean and reasonably priced. Beds were comfortable and no real complaints. Walking distance to the beach. I stay here for work and will stay again.
