I was actually going to leave a reasoning for my rating but having read the owner's condescending responses to guests who had issues I have chosen not to. My rating stands, judge for yourself if you ever stay here. I will not be staying here again. Reading the owner's responses to anyone who dares to give less than 5 stars let's me know that if I ever did have a major issue at this establishment, it would not be dealt with in a kind and professional manner. He even went as far as creeping a guest's profile and including remarks about them.Even if a guest is complaining about sinks falling off the wall after a full reno, blasting them publicly isn't the way to grow your business. Clearly the guests leaving complaints were upset for some reason.. And yes, the sinks are NOT falling off the walls, there are other issues however, and clearly the owner isn't interested in hearing about them.
Can't wait to read what he will post as an answer to this..I'm sure it'll "pleasant"

Good location with beautiful view, and the suite we stayed in had everything we needed in the kitchen to make due. Breakfast in the morning had good selection, and the staff were very welcoming of our dog during the stay.

Beautiful, clean and quite. Friendly staff. Outstanding view of Long Lake from our room. Originally we planned only 1 night stay, but quickly changed our plans to stay for our full duration in Nanaimo.

Second time being here. They are and have updated since last time. We really enjoy it here. Right on the lake, but really close to town. Traffic noise isn't too bad being so close to the highway. We would def. recommend and we will be back again! Thanks!! :)

This hotel was amazing. When we went to check in there was only one of the rooms we wanted left. We asked if they had room for three nights, but unfortunately they did not. We went to our room which was very clean, extremely spacious and had an excellent view! The bathroom had a large shower and some lovely soap dispensers so you don't have to fumble around with those inconvenient tiny bottles. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet which allowed for a very nice sleep. When we woke up and headed down for the continental breakfast we were greeted by a delightful breakfast. We had delicious waffles and fresh muffins. They had a wonderful selection of bagels and toasts as well. The staff member preparing the breakfast was extremely friendly and took a personal interest in our breakfast. She offered us muffins she had just baked and answered our questions about the waffles. We were extremely pleased by the level of service we received even at a place where service is not expected. This hotel was not very expensive either and we were pleased by the value for the money. Thanks for making our stay a great one, I wish we could of stayed with you longer.

The rooms were very nice and accommodating. The fitness room was very limited. It would have been nice to have even a yoga mat in there to do exercises,yoga or stretching.

Awesome service, great view, good breakfast, and spacious rooms. Each room has their own free wifi, so my family and I had no problems at all. We were allowed to rent kayaks and peddle boats and the scenery was beautiful! All in all, it was a fantastic experience staying here. The only "con" of living here is that the AC machine can be really loud at night if it turns on.
