First and most likely my last visit here. Ordered take out. Full rack of pork ribs with hush puppies. Lead with the good. Coleslaw was pretty good. Flavorful and creamy. The bad. Order was messed up. Fries were missing. Asked for MILD bbq sauce and what I got was a hell of a lot hotter. Ruined the whole meal for me. Meat was no where close to fall off the bone. Meat was so dry and over cooked that I literally had to tear it from the bone. Hush puppies were nothing to speak of. No flavor. A lot of batter. Had to wait half an hour which wasn’t bad cause I had another errand to run but from reading other reviews they need more staff in the restaurant and in the kitchen. Very disappointing. Ate three ribs and just couldn’t bring myself to finish.

The food was phenomenal. I had the deluxe po'boy and it was so yummy. Coleslaw and cornbread were outstanding. Only flaw was there was only 1 waitress and she was serving like 9 tables. We had to wait like 35 minutes for the food but it was well worth the wait

Really good, home cooking, finger licking food. When you finally get it. It seems family run which is great, however the service is very slow. If they hired a sous chef (maybe on the weekends) and or maybe one more server, I would give them 4 to 5.
Decor is nothing special, clean. Has potential. Yes, would recommend but do not expect fast service.response / report this review -

Food was really good but only gets 2 stars because the service was terrible waited over a hour for a shrimp & crab stew (which comes with a salad)and all my husband ordered was a grill chicken salad because he wasn't feeling too well and not once did our waiter come check on us and ask if we needed anything or if we wanted our salad while food was being made so we were'nt just sitting there starving people who were seated way after us and ordered huge meals were all getting food before us and when I complained to the waiter he said very condescending said well it takes time to make food and your meal was very complicated as if I were stupid enough to believe that it takes over an hour to make shrimp and crab in a sauce and all my husband ordered was a salad. He did not try to be apologetic about it and did not even see why our order was taking so long. Instead he tended to his other tables that were seated after us and got them their food first.Never Ever Again Will I Come Here Based On That Service

I visited RD’s Southern BBQ today and had a delicious pulled pork sandwich and poutinehonestly one of the best sandwiches I every had. It is a very clean and well kept restaurantthe service was greatI love the cozy booths. Go check this place outfrom the moment you walk in you will be drawn in by the amazing aroma of smoked meatyou won’t regret it!

We've been going to RD's ever since the Aventura location opened, and we've never been disappointed! Great service, good prices and portions, and the food is always delicious!!! Highly recommended!

Special word about our favorite restaurant(rd's southern bbq). If you give a months heads up about what your creaving.. be it sea food or red meat, the pit master and staff will make it happen. I did this for a party and I had a perfectly cooked ripeye. I feel that rd's food is to die for. I want to keep the experience and their menu as a surprise so you can experience it your self.

Tried to get take out tonight, but waited 10 minutes at the counter without being served. Was assured by the waiters four times that someone will be with me shortly, but they never showed up. Its sad given how little selection there is in the area.

It was good. Service wasn't the greatest but the food was good. One of the people on our party didn't get his meal; the owner came out and apologized and comped his meal which was great.

Really had a great evening . the food was of the chain good. Would recommend this place to my family and friends.
Only problem was our server was really new so it took him some time to take our orders.

As there aren't many classic Southern food joints in the GTA, this gem has become my go-to for delicious smoked meats that taste like they're straight out of New Orleans. Chef Jean has brought traditional techniques and secret sauces to the table to create one awesome restaurant. See for yourself and be sure to try their delectable soft, fluffy cornbread!

I don't like trying new things, my husband made me. Mississauga location is amazing. Food is excellent, portion is man sized. Corn bread is a nice moist sweet cornbread, not grainy. As I did not finish my pulled pork from last night (huge), I will be sending the husband to pick up some sides for me, and another meal for him today - not that he is complaining.

If your looking for a great BBQ place in Mississauga, look no further. This place had great food, friendly staff and generous portions. On our first visit, we ordered the ribs, pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese for our kids. Although there is no kids menu, the Mac and cheese side dish was more than enough to fill them up. Everything was excellent and the bread pudding was great! Highly recommend this restaurant.

So out of all the southern style bbq i've ever had, of course the best is in toronto. That's a strong statement, considering that my work takes me south on a semi regular basis. Hidden super bonus and totally counter intuitive: the 90s hip hop! We just had TLC followed by nas followed by method man and now biggie! 10/10 score from the polish judge. #Rdsbbq

The best of everything!!! Food is excellent (everybody in our group of 16 loved what they had) and the owners are awesome people. They really treat you like family! We make sure to go every time we're in the Mississauga area. Can't wait for the next LaCrosse tournament in the Spring

As my friends know, I'm a bit of a foodie and my job circles the Food&Beverage Hospitality industry. I'm very proud to be able to promote this location. Although there are a few areas of opportunity for the owners to consider the goal is to push great BBQ. This is great BBQ. Primarily designed for Take-Out and Delivery they have a few tables for those out of area people to sit, eat and even have a beer (Canadian or Corona) you choose. The Ribs are tenderly smoked with a good balance of char with in house special sauce. Not salty, just a great backyard BBQ flavour. Same with the wings, good size good flavor and good pricing. 1/2 rack 2lbs wings, fries, slaw and 3 beers for $50 bucks is a great price. The customer service is warm, friendly and inviting with a genuine approach right down to grandma who collects the dishes. Polite and charming the cook will make sure to engage you after you ate to make sure you enjoyed his BBQ. I can tell he's a good guy all around and he should be very proud of what he's pushing out of his tiny kitchen. This is a place that could survive if they expanded into a larger space but keep it intimate, just to make the traffic flow easier, provide more adequate washrooms and to help the service and cooking operation flow freely. The tiles leading from the cook area, back of house and washroom were quite slippery from grease, I suggest a sign to warn patrons. Wet towelettes were not provided with the meal, something to consider. The young guy cooking and serving just needs to watch the elders interact with guests - maturity, confidence and experience is all he needs as for right now he's displays a bit of generational attitude. No biggie. All in all, hidden in a not so great area of Brampton, plan for take out and enjoy some of the best ribs around. Thanks RDSBBQ

The food is great!! Our server was awesome!! If you are vegan, I'm not, they have a portobello mushroom on a bun that is incredible!
