Pros:
- staff are friendly and nice but not present all the time.
- cabins are clean and dont smell like mold or anything else.
- bedrooms all have windows and comfortable beds.
- pull out couch isn't the most uncomfortable, but it really takes up all the living room space.
- kitchen is okay. Most necessary items are available, but if you have a large party you need to bring more stuff.
- BBQ area is good. BBQs not very old and they were easy to turn on.
- ample parking.
- towels are clean.
- fits 4 people comfortably and 6 people if you don't want to use the living room. Would not recommend more than 6 people in a cabin. Not even using a sleeping bag on the ground.
- though near highway, but you really can't hear much from the cabins.
- temperatures inside the cabin was comfortable.
- about a 5 minute drive from Canmore.
- great WiFi network everywhere
Cons:
- if you're traveling with a travel crib for your child, it barely fits in the bedroom next to the bed. Allowing no space for movement.
- the living room is generally small and useless if the couch is open.
- washroom sinks are very very small. Some of the showers are as well. Barely fits a large person.
- staff are not on site between 7pm and 9am so you gotta make sure you have everything you need before they leave.
- our cabin didn't have any hooks for towels in the washroom.
- some of our bedsheets were dirty the night we arrived and received the room.
Overall would recommend if you have a small group per cabin and if you're okay with the small sink and shower.
Perfect for families traveling on a budget. Nice rustic cabins with a great view of the Rockies with hiking trails to the north. 5 minutes from Canmore. 20 minutes from Banff
Nice place with a great view of the Rockies.Good service. Love to stay there again.
The wifi worked really well, the staff were very helpful, and the rooms were spacious. It's a very good place to stay in. The price was pretty cheap.
Our stay in cabin #1 was perfect. The cabin is rustic and warm and cozy yet it met all our needs. Ryan was an absolute pleasure to deal with and gave us great advice for where to go for activities and brunch. We definitely recommend this cute place that's off the beaten path.
We stayed in Cabin 1 & 2 from Dec 31-Jan 2. Cabin 1, for 2 people, is small, while cabin 2, for 4 people, was a much better size. My family of 6 adults, 1 child and 1 dog were able to make due between both. Lots of room for parking. Quiet. Great Location, 15 mins to Banff and 2 mins to Canmore.
It's like living in heaven. Great views fantastic rustic cabins. Awesome service from the gentleman at the front desk. And you can hardly hear the traffic on the highway. But u do get the rumble of the trains going by. So peaceful. Will come back again for sure.
