Stayed here with friends who had a timeshare here.Very average accommodations and could smell u know what from the septic field, YUCK! I can honestly say we will never come back.

We stayed at the resort for 3 nights. The place exceeded my expectation that the chalet was so well equipped that it even have a blender!
The only thing that was inconvenient was that the upstairs bathroom was only a bath with no shower head at all. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay!

Rustic and nice size chalets. Hiking shopping very close, love the views from our patio deck with coffee and book in hand. We don't "Need" a vacation from this vacation, great place to unwind : )

Stayed for 3 days over Labour Day long weekend 2017. Absolutely gorgeous. A bit smokey, but not their fault. The cabins were clean, smelled nice, and quite comfortable, with mostly working appliances. LOTS to do at the resort itself, with playgrounds, basketball courts, horseshoes, a pool, a games room, and more. WiFi was even pretty good for being free, and in the middle of the mountains. Had the best nap I've ever had in one of the living rooms. Very quiet, and makes you feel isolated (in a good way) even with other cabins around you.

The only negatives at all were that the tennis court wasn't in great condition (still usable for fun play), and that the jets in the upstairs bathroom tube weren't usable in any of the 3 cabins my group reserved. These are minor points though, as there is PLENTY to do without the tennis court, and a hot tube available for use.

Lovely resort. Clean cabin with lots of wood. Newer appliances and easily sleeps six. Half way up a mountain the views are beautiful. Great amenities and only minutes from Canmore. Banff about 20 minutes away. Lots of hiking trails, shopping and restaurants close by.

I have been coming here each year for the last decade. My in-laws have been coming here for 30 years. My wife and I actually got married here, at the main lodge and return every year to vacation with our kids. To us, it's home away from home. We've had some great adventures here, among the most memorable was being on location during the flood in June 2013!
I understand since the flood, many projects have had to be put on hold or slowed down, as necessary repairs are done after the damage. Some aspects are still a work in progress. It's nice that the new sewer system is in (the road isn't torn up, and no smelly gases linger any longer). And some cabins are still awaiting a much needed facelift, but each year, noticeable improvements have been made.
The free standing units really set this place apart from many other similar resorts. No shared walls means you don't hear your neighbours going up and down the stairs, or have to worry if the baby wakes up crying in the middle of the night.
The cabins themselves have a warm, rustic atmosphere. The kitchens are well equipped and the bedrooms are quite comfortable. Our family has grown over the years and we fit all six of us quite comfortably in the two-bedroom units.
The games, library and pool at the main lodge are a favourite for our kids. These amenities may be somewhat simpler than what other places offer, but things are clean and functional and make for an enjoyable experience.
The staff are always helpful and friendly (which can be difficult to accomplish with a transient work force, like many who work in the Canmore area are). The atmosphere is always quiet and respectable; never having dealt with loud music or late night parties in our time here.
We tend to spend our week here in the summer, and enjoy the beauty of this place. Perhaps when the kids are a little older, we'd come in winter to enjoy some skiing, and put the fireplace to use.
I'm looking forward to returning again, for many years to come; each time we come it improves a little bit more!

This would have been an alright stay if it wasn't so expensive. For $350/night for a two bedroom cabin I would have expected a better/bigger bed, cleaner accommodations (there were spider webs and the appliances were pretty dirty). The tub in our room had a note that you couldn't use the jets or else it would leak onto the rooms below.. The beds were really uncomfortable and the furniture was so awful. It's a cute cabin and a nice view. But not worth the price at all.

This rustic little spot has been a great family and group retreat location for me over the years. It used to be a bargain, but I would be cautious now. I couldn't access their website rates, so I phoned their front desk. Turns out, they have changed ownership(no longer Grand Pacific Resorts). A cabin for 6 used to be around CAD $140 is now CAD $249 per night on the weekends!

I am going to avoid it this year, because I'm guessing they haven't renovated much yet. At this increase, the place better smell like roses and not raw sewage like years past! The value in this place used to be affordable family fun. At these rates, it's just not worth it! Now I'm looking in the heart of Canmore/Banff.
