Decent view, cheap to get in. Busy in the weekends and quiet during the week. It's outdoor, so best experienced during the snow and the cold. Suit rentals available, as is a towel service. Lockers are single use for a dollar. Bring a water bottle with you into the pool if you're going to spending time there, there are no water fountains near the hot pool. You can drop people off at the entrance but parking is down the hill, be prepared for a short uphill walk with appropriate winter clothes and footwear.

I make it a point to come here at least once every 3 months. Living in Calgary, it is amazing how we take this majestic place for granted seeing how it's in our backyard. This is a definite visiting point, the staff are always pleasant, the view is spectacular, what more else of a reason do you need!

Big swimming pool full of people and hot water. Beautiful views, historic building. Very friendly and helpful staff. I go here every time I come to Banff, it's part of the experience!

such a treat to go and explore Banff National Park. So lucky its in our back yard, but never gets old! Love the hot springs and love the tranquil feeling after I have just had a soak!

A little snug when it's busy but overall lots of fun with breathtaking views. You can rent everything: Towels, Bathing Suits, etc. But cheaper to bring you own stuff. Either way highly recommended. Perhaps after a chilly trip to the top of the Mountain?

I stayed at Banff Hot Springs on August 30-September 1 and it was the worst hotel experience of my life. First of all I have saved in my profile that I'm allergic to feather pillows and realized at midnight that my feathers were pillow. The housekeeping staff changed them and they were really good about it, even offering me a bottle of wine as apology. This was not the problem though. The next night, there was a wedding at the hotel. During our high tea, we had to listen to drunken guests shrieking loudly and had to listen to a horrible warbling singer from the wedding instead of enjoying our tea in peace. Then, our room was located directly above the wedding venue area and we were subjected to loud thumping music all night long. Despite the fact there are signs in the hotel halls saying there is a quiet period at the hotel asking guests to respect other guests, this apparently doesn't apply to everyone. We had been out all day hiking around Banff and arrived at the hotel for the evening looking forward to resting and relaxing in our room. We wanted to go to sleep early as we had to wake up early to drive to Calgary for a flight. When I am paying $505 for both rooms a night, I deserve the right for some peace and quiet and to go to sleep at a time that I want to. I live in a big city where I am subjected to noise regularly and was really looking forward to getting away from it all and resting and relaxing in Banff. I would have been better off staying at a dumpy motel on the main highway than staying at Banff Hot Springs. We begged staff for some earplugs and they did not help, you could still feel the constant vibrations THUMP THUMP THUMPING all night from 9pm until exactly 12:07. We turned our TV on and even at a loud volume, we could still hear the noise. It wasn't the music, it was the vibrations that were making our room shake! We also couldn't open our windows to enjoy some fresh air because when we did, we could hear drunken shrieking wedding party guests below us. It was like having a hotel room on top of a nightclub. Every time we called to complain about the noise we were basically told that the noise will stop at midnight and the attitude was that we should just deal with it. There was no offer to move our room to a quieter area of the hotel, even though I was traveling with my father who is in a wheelchair and it would have been really uncomfortable to have to move him late at night. I had a headache from 9pm until I finally fell asleep at 1am, and then I woke up still having a headache and had an unpleasant day while driving because of my horrific stay at this hotel. They offered us $200 off from our bill which is definitely NOT enough. It was amazing how accommodating the hotel was when the housekeeping issue happened but barely any attempt to compensate us on this terrible stay. Obviously what happened was the hotel received a lot of money for the wedding and didn't care about the other guests during this time. In the future you should warn guests about a wedding, and you should definitely NOT place guests in the rooms that are directly above the wedding! Put the wedding party in that wing, so that they don't have to deal with the noise. This is absolutely unacceptable and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. As we were leaving, we saw them setting up for another wedding. I was so grateful we were leaving! I've stayed at Fairmont hotels in Quebec City, Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Victoria, and they have all been great hotel experiences. This stay was absolutely dreadful, hands-down the worst hotel stay ever. If I'm ever back in Banff, I would stay in a smaller hotel where there are no weddings. For the price we paid to stay here, it was definitely not worth it.

Very nice place to relax if you have nothing to do after dinner. If you know what actual limestone smells like, you don't have to worry about that here. It's very hot, around 40 celsius or 104 Fahrenheit. The only thing is that it's very crowded there. But I definitely recommend going there.

Great place for hot springs! Pool/sitting area was full when we went, but managed to squeeze a spot. Nice to just relax and soak for 10-20 minutes in the hot water, and it's cool knowing it's mountain water hahahaha. Great time, only $7.50 per person, like a public rec centre. Perfect after a long day of hiking Would go again!

We came fairly early (10 AM) when it wasn't so busy and it was still a little cold, and that worked amazing since the pool wasn't packed and getting out and in again felt amazing. Would not recommend going here if the weather is above 20, the pool would simply feel too hot.
I wish they had a cold pool like they do in the Jasper hot springs, but that probably wouldn't matter if you came here during the fall/winter

Nice place. Nice and hot. Had a cute mini kid pool right in it. Needs a bit more shaded sites for hot summer days but has some. Rent bathing suits and towels for fair prices. Fair rates to get in.

Facilities are good. Pool is beautiful because the mountain is in front. On winter is the best season to enjoy it.

Great place to go spend an hour or so on a vacation. Springs were hot and refreshing. There were some children splashing and being loud, but it wasn't enough to detract from the experience. Changing facility was clean, although 2 of the 3 changing rooms wouldn't close. Overall a good experience.

Former Banff resident and now there almost every weekend. Still consider myself a local. Never went to the springs but am now older with kids.
Place was gross- showed up at 925 PM with two kids and was told that we couldn't get in as they close at 1000 PM. I threatened to call the parks office and the VERY unfriendly girl at the counter grabbed her supervisor and she was friendlier but stressed that they are understaffed. She said we could go in but must be out of the building by 1000. She encouraged me to call parks anyway as she needs the help.
The pool itself was gross- THIS IS NOT HOT SPRINGS- This is a heated pool that has high chlorine content. Recommend staying away. Disappointed.

Wonderful place. It can get busy so plan your trip for less busy times. Price is great and the staff are very friendly. Change rooms are clean (bring $1 for the lockers!) and lots of room to change. The view cannot be beat.

It's nice and close to Calgary. There is a dryer for bathing suits in the locker room, which is nice. The change rooms are small, but the staff work hard to keep the floors clean. The pool is often crowded. The children often splash. The adults are often indecent in their behaviour. Overall, it's not a bad way to spend a freezing cold day.
