Exceptionally managed park. Campsites are clean and well maintained. Spectacular outhouses, new picnic tables, level tent platforms and clean fire pits.

We spent the day here. The Welcome Centre was very organized and efficient (though not very friendly). The kayaks we rented were in great shape and pretty close to the dock. You are expected to carry them to the water. The lake is clean and surprisingly warm for a swim. We explored several islands which were designated picnic areas some with a pit toilet. Other islands were reserved for camping. The lake is very popular, and unfortunately there is a lot of boat and motorized sport traffic which whiz right by canoeists and kayakers. It is noisy. I would recommend this spot for group campers who are also making their own noise so won’t mind so much!

It's more a lake for noisy boats and happy fossil energy burners than a quiet reserve for nature. We spent 4 days and 3 nights on a beautiful island, surrounded by gorgeous nature. But be aware that you have to share this precious place with litterally hundreds of boats, sometimes extremely noisy (and unsafe for canoes) from sunrise to sunset. Such a turn-off. Sadly, we will not go back.
