My child an I have just started with braces but so far this office/staff has been very nice and helpful. I just wish they had a Saturday opening!

The staff were all very kind and welcoming to me and my son. They were very nice when doing the assessment of my sons mouth/teeth, always informing him ahead of time what they were going to do and why they needed to do it. The orthodontist was very nice and informed me as the parent on what was going on with my sons mouth/teeth and the treatment(s) that could be done to fix them. There was never any pressure to make a decision right then and there. Both my son and I felt very comfortable in all areas of this facility and would highly recommend them to family and friends!

Everyone was so welcoming and so friendly. Dr. McFadden was wonderful and thorough and gave me a whole different angle to look at and I think she is onto something important.

My teeth straightening turned out really well.Dr. McFadden was able to remove the final difficult bracket, without any discomfort.I think she will be able to fill Dr. Pappel's "shoes" easily.

Great team and very good with kids. No pressure sales which I really liked. I felt comfortable knowing they had the kids best interest at hand. I'd recommend these people anytime. Very professional and overall amazing.

I can't say enough about how wonderful the people are at Shoreline Orthodontics. I had needed braces all my life but as an adult I was told that I couldn't have them because of my TMJ. A couple of years ago my dentist strongly suggested that I try one more time. He said Dr. Helpard was the one to see, he was the best! So at the age of 56 Dr. Helpard told me I could have braces I couldn't believe it, it was a dream come true. He has such a positive upbeat lighthearted professional down to earth respectful approach to everyone. And everyone that works with him are all just as positive and supportive. They are people that sincerely enjoy what they are doing.
For people who have to cover their smile throughout their lives . dental work like this can be very emotional and life changing. It's been almost 2 years and I've had my braces removed. Learning to smile now has been so different, it feels so free. My jaw pain has reduced greatly as my teeth are now aligned as well. I'd recommend to everyone who may be considering trying one more time this is a wonderful place to take that journey.

I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Helpard and his team assist me through a corrective double jaw surgery and the pre / post surgery prep and braces. The entire team was fabulous to deal with from day one. Attentive, explanatory, professional and supportive. I highly recommend Dr. Helpard and all of his staff.

We're early in the game but from what I experienced with other orthodontists in other cities, it is hard pressed to find anyone else as "hands on" or thorough or knowledgeable. Very impressed so far with the professionalism.

Deep depth of knowledge, warmth and caring displayed by Dr. Pappel AND his staff. Beautiful, comfortable waiting room (though we mainly spent time in it because of the excellent hot chocolate, not because we were kept waiting!) Current technology in the examination room, plus client email reminders and client portal for convenience.

My children needed help very young and their care has been consistently gentle, reassuring and thorough. Instructions for our dentists has been quick and Dr. Pappel and staff have always willingly answered extra questions, so my children will have beautiful, healthy teeth.

Oh my goodness, the charges for braces on my grandaughter. You can tell by the furnature in his office that this dentist is making a lot on money on the teeth on Nanaimo's children.
