The cutting room is my happy place! Karly dyes my hair and Kandice does my cut. I would reccomended them to anyone! They listen to my wants and ideas and I always come out of the salon with the perfect style. I dont let anyone else touch my hair! The whole staff their is always pleasant to deal with and their product knowledge is on point. :)

Karly has been cutting my hair for almost five years now - I highly recommend her! In addition to always leaving the salon feeling like I've had the best haircut of my life, she is very good at understanding what I want, even when I can't articulate what I am looking for. Karly is precise every step of the way: from the clean cut to the voluminous blowouts. She is truly great at what she does! In addition, the salon itself is very modern, clean and inviting. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. This salon is definitely a gem!

LOVE how Edwin cut my hair today. I'll be back in a week to have colour done by Stacey but even with today's nasty roots showing, I'm looking gorgeous & feeling young in my new "do." Wanna guess my age?! I dare you.
As a little bonus treat, I had some curls put in after my blow out & I can see how easy it will be to recreate this look. Thanks team Cutting Room!

every time i come here, it is just fabulous. fabulous service from booking the appointment to leaving with great hair. karly always meets my expectations and always goes above and beyond with what i suggested, making it always better then what i'd invisoned. she always gives excellent product knowledge and is very helpful with educating me on how to achieve my wanted style every day. i would reccomend this salon over and over and over again. thanks again karly!

The Cutting Room is a beautiful space, they have an area upstairs just for coloring, which I found a refreshing change, very Zen vibe. I just had some blonde highlights done by Stacy, I literally cannot stop looking at my hair I love it so much. Highly recommend.

I've been getting my hair cut and coloured by Karly for the last five years. Her tecnique with both color and styling always amazes me. I've never been more satisfied with a salon or a hairdresser. 10/10 would recommend.

It's so nice to have a salon in Nanaimo that offers a range of styles and employs multi-tiered stylists (juniors, seniors - at different prices, so you can get your hair cut regardless of your budget) . I got a long bob cut from Candice, and she did a fantastic job. Highly recommend this place.

Wow the best Salon I have ever attended , so modern so ahead of the game , I really wish it was in Port Moody where I live , but I get to visit the salon all summer long for my styles and cuts
The whole staff are warm and friendly , and the owner is an award winning stylist traveling around the world competing and teaching
I go to Karly Sue , who also is in many competitions
I'm a senior aNd I do not want old lady hair styles , she takes her time with me , I never feel rushed , she makes sure I know how to Handel my hair in between appointments ,
I recommend give Karly a call , she is awesome
