Impressive service and care even in the midst of the hustle at dinner hour. Handled my gluten free needs well. Great tastes and quality of food. Lively atmosphere my New York City friend would approve of.
Always greetings as soon as you come in. I seat at the Sushi Bar and watch plate after plate of the most amazing looking dishes get made right before my eyes. I'm like wow as a plate goes by and I ask What is that dish called. He smiles and says that's Sushi. 🍣 Our favorite Sushi
Great variety of sushi and other Japanese culinary delights. Make a reservation or come early, it was packed the whole time we were there! Owner was happily greeting everyone while constructing elaborate dishes
If you want a fusion sushi place, this restaurant is an amazing choice. The combination of flavors in their sushi es mind blowing. Good prices, not cheap. Definitely not expensive. Great staff. Waiting list moves fast
This restaurant is cozy and friendly, I recommend the tables if you are in a group; if you are alone or with one friend, I recommend the sushi bar, as the chefs (especially John!💙) love to chat with customers! The food is AMAZING! Tastes fantastic and lovely presentation! Reservations are a smart choice for large groups. If you are a walk in, you may have to wait up to 20 min to be seated if it is busy. I included a pic of the Chashu bibimbab, served in a hot stone bowl.
Super fresh, great sushi that is prepared by an excellent chef. The staff is warm/inviting and the price is good We went here and back to back nights. Will also return is we are ever back in town.
Great food and great service. Easily one of the best, if not the best sushi restaurant on Vancouver Island. I highly recommend dining at the sushi bar for the best experience.
The most personable and friendly staff and hands down, the best food in town. Jon never fails to make all his guests feel welcomed and appreciated and his team are some of the most friendly and funny people I have ever met. A local gem and a must for anyone visiting. :)
5 star quality. Best in Vancouver Island. Ive been here many times; food is fresh; you can tell they care about quality and service; place is always packed because regardless of the day because this place is consistent with perfection. If you're visiting in Nanaimo; this place is a must.
best sushi restaurant in the world had nothing better. delicious and always worth your buck. and the people there are extremely nice. five stars from me!
Incredible sushi, incredible service, happy servers and chefs. Features an open-view into sushi prep area, with very outgoing staff. Well-priced, even for a casual meal.
Always a wonderful experience!
I never leave the island without going at least once. The sashimi is fresh and service is exceptional even compared to the best restaurants. They offer numerous unique rolls, including one of my favourites, Island Fever II, which has deep friend pineapple on top!
Just had an amazing dinner at Nori! I highly recommend it to everyone. I travel around the island a lot for work and favour Japanese food when I eat out. I have to say that John and his crew make for the best Japanese culinary experience! The food is amazing and John provides a personal touch that completes the experience. I will be going back very soon!
Perfect sushi. Great staff. John the owner gives the personal touch and remembers 100's of regulars names & orders. Place was packed for lunch and nobody waited long for their food at all. I highly recommend Nori Sushi!
The food is always delicious. I have been to Nori over 40 times and I haven't had a bad experience yet. They have never messed up an order, even when ordering to-go. All the servers are friendly and good at their jobs, and the atmosphere is lively and fun. You almost always get greeted when arriving, and thanked for coming in when leaving. One of my favorite things to do at Nori is to sit at the sushi bar, because John and his team are very personable and entertaining, and like to strike up conversation with everyone around. I will never go to another sushi restaurant in town, because no others even come close to how outstanding Nori is.
