Absolutely love this place! Half off with a purchase of a drink after 9pm. I am vegetarian and their tofu patty is the best. I replace it in the 'minted lamb' dish and it is fantastic. It would be nice if they made vegan-friendly buns for those that need it.
Citrus ice tea cocktail was amazing. Bruschetta had a lot of water in the bottom so took away some flavour, but was still alright. Service was great! Will return
This is my favorite place eat. The burgers are awesome, the staff, awesome. Love to go to just sit at the bar and take it easy, or hang out with friends inside or out. Half and half fries and salad is the best deal in town!
Everyone enjoyed their burger. I had the feature which was moist, good flavor and bun. I also liked the fries but would get a half portion next time with a half salad. Impressed as well with the well trained staff and quick service. I've also heard of the two locations this is better.
I love Bin 4's late night and I usually really like the feature burger, but when they featured a burger in September 2017, I found it profoundly disappointing. Now, I understand that coming up with a new burger every month is something of a strain on the creative mind after years of doing it, but I think restraint and good taste are key factors in creating something worth eating. The burger featured a mix of elk and pork in the patty itself, and was topped with Shropshire cheese, blackberry salsa, and slivers of deep fried leek. The Shropshire so overpowered every other element of the burger that the flavour of the elk was undetectable, the blackberry salsa had nothing evident in common with either blackberries or any salsa I've ever had, and the deep fried leeks fell out of the burger almost entirely. They tasted good on my fries, though.
With all that said, I still love Bin 4. Their main menu features a ton of great burgers and for the most part they've got a winning formula down pat. I'll keep coming back once a month as long as I live in Victoria, because even when they miss, it's not enough to drown out the quality of their hits.
I am so disappointed. I came in alone about 9:45 to get a late dinner. About half the tables I could see were empty. I asked if I could have a table they said it's a 30-40 minute wait. I said ok I'll just go sit at the bar. That said nope that a 40 minute wait also. I asked why can't I just sit and want. They said the kitchen is small and can't accommodate too many orders. Why have that many tables if you won't even seat people willing to wait for the food. I am so disappointed in this location. Iv been to other locations before and been very satisfied. I am so not impressed with this location.
Good veggie options. I recommend the ginger soy tofu burger and the almond praline & blue cheese salad. The garlic and basil aiolis are also very good. You get a small portion of their fine chips to snack on while you wait for your food. There is a half-price discount with a drink purchase after 9 pm that attracts a lot of people so be ready to wait if you go at that time.
Took 4 of us to Bin 4 for dinner (a birthday dinner). Total bill was $100 before tip. Food was tasty and unique (burger combos that appear to be developed by them over time, not just copies of burgers you've had 100 times before elsewhere). Red onion onion-rings were unique, but I wasn't a big fan of the coating. Burgers were very good (piled high) as were the fries and their own crispy chips. On-tap beers were acceptable but could use some more selection. Service was good.
The bean burger is really good, staff are really knowledgeable about allergies and their food, very willing to accommodate. Staff are friendly and attentive. The food is really good (fries a bit too salty for me, but that's just my preference), and the prices are reasonable. It's not the best veggie burger in town, but it's always nice to stop in. Timing though, is important, as it is a small restaurant so sometimes wait times can be long.
Always tasty burger selections. Consistently tasty and fresh, always well prepared. Solid fries as well, and the beer menu is pretty good for a place like this. The service is hit or meh, never terrible, but fairly inconsistent. Their takeout boxes don't keep the food hot at all, which is a big negative. I realize that they're using recyclable containers, but wax lined paper boxes don't keep heat in, but they keep moisture in, and that makes for cold soggy fries and a cold soggy burger. You really need to do something about that! Stick with dining in here.
