One of the WORST burgers I've ever had. And it cost $15+!!!!! I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and fries, to go No one was in the place when I got there. Fries were rock solid and I didn't finish them burger tasted kind of like blue cheesenot in a good way. IT was not a blue cheese burger, just a cheddar burger I was off put and did not finish it either. I rarely, if ever, leave food uneaten, however this meal came out to close to 18 bucks!!!! and half ended up in the garbage. When a place specializes in one thing, and gets it horribly wrong, it's incredible they have managed to stay in business based on the hokey diner pariphenalia alone. Not impressed, won't be back.

Nothing to write home about . Not even on the same street as big texx or it char . Twice the price for half as good . I actually think a and w is better on a good day . Milkshakes are good but come on at this price they should be. Atmosphere will only get you so far .

I find their burgers pricey for what you get. There isn't much flavour to the burger patty itself and isn't a big deal especially for the price.
The atmosphere is nostalgic which is cool but I'd go elsewhere for a good burger.

Usually very good Burgers and Fries. Menu is limited but what they do they do well. Service can be variable.

Absolute trash. Probably one of the worst, if not THE worst meals I have ever had in my life. Burger was burnt to a crisp, lettuce and tomato was wilted and probably 3 weeks old. The bun was hard as a rock and I almost broke my teeth just trying to bite into it. I thought maybe it was just me so I asked my girlfriend to try it and she said the exact same thing; it was awful. Not to mention cheese costs extra money. The waiter was completely oblivious and wandered around the restaurant in a dream-like state, staring into space and looking like a mongoloid. Whispered under his breath when talking to us and was so socially awkward I wanted to tell him someone out there loves him. Complete rape, 20$ for something I could have retrieved out of a dumpster on East Hastings. Avoid at all costs, an autistic gorilla could have made a better burger. $7 Milkshake was alright, but not worth.

The burgers are fantastic, and the fresh cut fries are to die for! Not to mention the decor is off the charts. You can tell great care goes into everything they do there from the flavour profile of the dishes to the design sense all the way from the menu to the design details on the wall.

Not a bad burger. But it kinda sucked getting a lecture on why they don't serve pickles because the vinegar cancels the beef tasteTotal BS. They still serve mustard and ketchup and malt vinegar for fries It is either they don't like them or they cost too much nothing wrong in that simple truth People have been eating burgers with pickles for 80 years so WTF. I would not even mind the blatant fallacy of the excuse, except that it was delivered with the conviction of a religious zealot believing theirs is the RIGHT way. Its a matter of taste. If you go bring your own pickles unless you like the dry black olive they serve it with. peace.

Great service, fantastic burger, and really authentic decor!

The owners have refined their burger to a point where it is truly exquisite. Not too fatty, excellent flavors, and the fries are outrageously good. All the food is completely fresh, and you can really tell.

Ask Peter or Kathy to tell you about the local history of the various fixings all over the restaurant.

This is my #1 spot for burgers in Vancouver.

Quite good award winning burger. Very nice old school diner location. Burger is delicious and fries are made fresh.

    Street only.

Loved the burger, only thing I would change is the bun and adding a pickle. Meat was cooked really well and the fries are pretty solid. Seems like take out is a big thing here due to the longer wait times.

Great atmosphere, wonderful people, fantastic food.
Burger and a milkshake are must try items - hope they never change.
A little out of both my usual neighborhood and budget, a delectable treat whenever I can though.
